1954-2523RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK NO. 2523 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE WORK DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 2489 The City Council of the City of Anaheim, California, pursuant to the provisions of the "Improvement Act of 1911," being Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, DOES RESOLVE as follows: That the public interest and convenience require the work herein- after mentioned to be done, and, therefore, the said City Council hereby orders the following work to be done and improvements to be made in said City, to -wit: The construction of vitrified clay pipe sanitary sewers, including wye branches, vitrified clay pipe house connection sewers, vitrified clay pipe cleanouts, manholes and appurtenant work in connection therewith in Narda Street, Susanne Street, Florence Avenue, Charlotte Avenue, South Philadelphia Street and the alley in the City of Anaheim, known as Sewer Assessment District 1954 1, all as more particularly described in Resolution of Intention No. 2489 passed and adopted by the City Council of said City on the 27th day of July 1954, and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City. For further particulars, reference is hereby made to said Resolu- tion of Intention No. 2489 and to the plans, profiles and drawings, consist- ing of 4 sheets, on file in the office of the City Clerk of the said City of Anaheim, and to the specifications for the said work heretofore adopted by the said City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, and all of said plans profiles, drawings and specifications herefore approved by the City Council of said City are incorporated herein and made a part hereof, and reference is hereby made thereto for a more particular description of said work. Said City Council has determined and declared that the contemplated work and improvement, heretofore mentioned, was in the opinion of the said City Council of more than local or ordinary public benefit and the said City Council has made the expenses of said work chargeable upon a district. For the particular description of said district, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention No. 2489 Said City Council has determined and declared that serial bonds, bearing interest at the rate of six per cent (6 per annum and extending over a period ending nine (9) years from the second day of January next succeeding the next October 15th following their date, will be issued here- under in the manner provided by the "Improvement Act of 1911," being Part 5, Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, to represent each assessment of twenty -five dollars ($25.00) or more remaining unpaid for thirty (30) days after the date of recording the warrant. All of the work herein ordered shall be done and carried through in pursuance of an act of the legislature of the State of California, designated the "Improvement Act of 1911," Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code. The Clerk of said City is hereby directed to post conspicuously for five (5) days on or near the chamber door of the City Council, in the manner and form required by said Code, a Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals or Bids for doing the work herein ordered, and the City Clerk is hereby directed -1- to publish twice in the "Anaheim Bulletin a daily newspaper pub- lished and circulated in said City and hereby designated by the said City Council for that purpose, a notice inviting such proposals or bids for doing the said work and referring to the specifications on file. The City Council of said City does hereby determine and declare that pursuant to the provisions of Section 5283 of said "Improvement Act of 1911," the work and improvement hereinabove mentioned shall be done under the direction of the Engineer of Work, heretofore appointed by Resolution No. 2487 adopted on the 27th day of July 1954, and that the materials used shall be in compliance with the specifications and be to the satisfaction of said Engineer of Work instead of the Superintendent of Streets of said City, and that the Superintendent of Streets is hereby directed to include a provision to that effect in the contract which he shall hereafter make, covering said proposed improvement. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim, California, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 14th day of September 1954, by the following vote, to -wit: (SEAL) AYES: Councilmen Pearson, Wisser and NOES: Councilmen None.
