A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM COMMENDING CHARLES E.
GRIFFITH FOR HIS SERVICES TO THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AS CITY CLERK.
WHEREAS, Charles E. Griffith was elected by the
people of the City of Anaheim to the Office of City Clerk
on the 9th day of April, 1934, and has been reelected and
has continued to serve as City Clerk of the City of
Anaheim continuously since that date; and
WHEREAS, the said Charles E. Griffith has vacated
said Office of City Clerk effective August 1, 195+; and
WHEREAS, the said Charles E. Griffith has been an
outstanding public official and has served the City and the
people of Anaheim faithfully for twenty years with an un-
selfish devotion to public service; he has always been ready
and willing to go beyond the call of duty to render service
to the people of Anaheim, and at all times more than willing
to accommodate people as City Clerk; he is highly respected
by the people of Anaheim and his services as City Clerk have
been of great value to the people and the City of Anaheim;
and his long years of service have been rendered with the
utmost honesty and integrity, promptness and devotion to the
welfare of the people of the City of Anaheim, and he should
be highly commended for such service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that Charles E. Griffith be, and he
is hereby, commended for the long, faithful and outstanding
service that he has rendered to the people and the City of
Anaheim as City Clerk; and we wish to assure him of our con-
tinued confidence in his honesty and integrity and to ex-
press our personal appreciation for the service that he has
rendered to us as members of the City Council of the City
of Anaheim.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this
Resolution be spread in full upon the minutes of the City
Council, and that a certified copy be delivered to Charles
E. Griffith.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved
by me this 10th day of August, 1954.
