A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A GRANT DEED
CONVEYING TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CERTAIN
REAL PROPERTY FOR AN EASEMENT FOR
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is
desirous of purchasing the hereinafter described real property
for public purposes, to wit: An easement for street and
utility purposes and
WHEREAS, the owners of said property have offered tm
sell said hereinafter described real property to the City of
Anaheim for the sum of One and no /100 ($1.00) Dollars; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds
that it is for the benefit and best interest of the City of
Anaheim to accept said offer and purchase said real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council wf
the City of Anaheim that the offer of JOE Y. MENDEZ and
VERA MENDEZ. husband and wife. to sell to
the City of Anaheim the following described real property situ-
ated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of Cali-
fornia, and more particularly described as follows:
The southerly 40 feet of the west one -half of the
east one-half of Lot 9 of Anaheim Extension as shown
on a map thereof made by William Haruel in 1868 and
filed in Book 3, Pages 162 164, Records of Los
Angeles County, California.
In consideration of the improvement by the City of
Anaheim of the above entitled property as a street
and the extension of Broadway Street in the City of
Anaheim from South East Street to the westerly
boundary of Tract 1565, the grantors (Joe Y. Mendez
and Vera Mendez, husband and wife) agree to pay for
the installation of curbs and sidewalks upon, along
and over the property abutting said street. The
grantors agree to pay such cost when requested by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim so to do.

be, and the same is hereby, accepted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim, and that the City of Anaheim accept a convey-
ance of said property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Treasurer of the
City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay to the
owners of said real property, out of General Funds of the City
of Anaheim, the sum of One and no /100 (`1.00) Dollars.
