1954-2448WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has installed natural
gas engines at the Anaheim City Water Reservoir site on West
La Palma Avenue in the City of Anaheim to be used in operat-
ing pumps at said place;dnd
WHEREAS, it is necessary to purchase natural gas
for the operation of said engines; and
WHEREAS, Southern Counties Gas Company of California
has submitted to the City Council an agreement dated May 26,
1954 and an offer to furnish the City natural gas for the
operation of its gas engines for a period of one year, upon
the .terms and conditions therein set forth; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said agreement
is advantageous to and for the best interest of the City,
and that the terms therein stated are reasonable and that said
agreement should be approved and the Mayor and the City Clerk
authorized to execute the same for and on behalf of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the agreement dated May 26, 1954
this day submitted to the City Council by Southern Counties
Gas Company of California for the furnishing of natural gas
to the City of Anaheim for the operation of its gas engines,
for a period of one year, upon the terms and conditions set
forth in said agreement, be and the same is hereby approved,
and that the Mayor and the City Clerk be and they are hereby
authorized to execute said agreement for and on behalf of
the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by
