A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF
CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM TO STANDARD PRESSED STEEL
COMPANY.
WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore adopted
Ordinance No. 891 declaring its intention to vacate,
abandon and close to public use a portion of Pythias Avenue
and an easement for street and highway purposes upon, over
and along said property situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, more particularly
described as follows, to wit:
That portion of Pythias Avenue (60 feet
wide) lying within Lot 47 of Anaheim
Extension as shown on a map thereof made
by William Hamel in 1868 and filed for
record in the office of the County
Recorder of Los Angeles County, California,
the center line of which is described as
follows:
Beginning at a point on the South line of
said Lot 4 7, said point being 663.15 feet,
more or less, Westerly from the Southeast
corner of said Lot 47; thence North along
a line parallel to the East line of said
Lot 47 to a point of intersection with the
Southerly property line of West Santa Ana
Street,
but reserving a right -of -way for sewer purposes ten (10)
feet in width upon, over, along and across the above
described portion of Pythias Avenue proposed to be abandoned,
the center line of which is described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the South line of
Lot 47 of Anaheim Extension, said point
being 667.15 feet Westerly from the South-
east corner of said Lot 47; thence Northerly
along a line parallel to the Easterly line
of said Lot 47 to a point of intersection
with the Southerly property line of West
Santa Ana Street;
AND WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is the owner in
fee of the parcel of property hereinabove mentioned and
described and upon completion of said abandonment proceed-
ings for the abandonment of said public easement for street
and highway purposes, the property right in and to said
easement will revert to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that said
property is no longer needed for public purposes, and that
it would be to the advantage and for the best interest of
the City of Anaheim and the citizens and residents thereof
that said property be sold; and

WHEREAS, the City has received an offer from
Standard Pressed Steel Company to purchase the above
described property, subject to the ten (10) foot easement
hereinabove mentioned, for the sum of IP 100.00 That
Standard Pressed Steel Company is the owner of property
adjoining the portion of Pythias Avenue being abandoned
as aforesaid; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the price
offered by said Standard Pressed Steel Company for the
purchase of said property is a fair price for said property
and should be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the property hereinabove men-
tioned and described be sold to Standard Pressed Steel
Company for the sum of 100.00 cash, lawful money of
the United States, subject to a right -of -way for sewer
purposes ten (10) feet in width upon, over, along and across
said property, as hereinabove more particularly described;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to
execute a deed for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim
and to deliver it to said Standard Pressed Steel Company
upon payment of the sum of 100.00 therefor.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this llth day of May, 1954.

of the City of Anaheim held on the llth day of May, 1954, by
the following vote of the members thereof:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Pearson, Fry, Schutte, Wisser and
Van Wagoner.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
Anaheim signed and approved said Resolution on the llth day
of May, 1954.
