1953-2314RESOLUTION NO. 2311+ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CONSENTING TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION OF INHABITED TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM. Murray, Florence L. Murray, Elizabeth Pellegrino, Sylvia Pellegrino, Mabel R. Koenig, Robert H. Koenig, Thomas R. Elder, Mrs. Pauline Elder, John A. Hughes, I. L, Bickham, Mrs. Eria J. Bickham, Peter Palm and Erlinda Palm it would Be to the advantage and benefit of the City of Anaheim and to the qualified electors residing within said territory to permit the above named proponents to commence proceedings for the annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim, upon the con- ditions hereinafter set forth; and WHEREAS, said request has been referred to the City Planning Commission and its report and recommendations received recommending the granting of consent to commence proceedings for annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the consent of the City Council be, and it is hereby, given to said proponents to commence proceedings for the annexation of the hereinafter described territory to the City of Anaheim, upon the following conditions: First: That the proposal for annexation of said terri- tory to the City of Anaheim shall be submitted to and reported upon to the proponents by the Boundary Commission of the County of Orange, with respect to the definiteness and certainty of pro- posed boundaries. Second: That no petition be circulated for the annexat- ion of said territory until after notice of intention to circulate such petition has been published as required by law and a copy of such notice and an affidavit of publication has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim within ten (10) days after the date of publication of said notice, and a resolution has been adopted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim acknowledging receipt of said notice and approving the circulation of said petit- ion. Third: That the circulation of any petition for the annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim shall not be commenced until twenty -one (21) days after the publication of said notice of intention to circulate the same. The boundaries of the territory for which proceedings aro proposed to be commenced for the annexation thereof to the City of Anaheim are described as follows: -1- A tract of land lying within Section 9, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, and including Lots 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and portions of Lots 5, 12, 13, and 18 of Anaheim Homestead Tract as shown on a map thereof filed in Book 26, Page 10 Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, and more par- ticularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the west city limits line of the City of Anaheim, said point also being the intersection of the center line of Loara Street with the center line of West North Street; thence along the existing City Limits line, 1. Northeasterly 1325 feet, more or less, along said existing City Limits line and center line of said North Street to an angle point; thence, 2. Southerly 1175 feet, more or less, along the existing City Limits line to a point, said point being on the northerly right -of -way line of Westmont Drive formerly known as Burton Street (60 ft. wide) and also being the most northeasterly corner of the Burton Street Annexation to the City of Anaheim, adopted by Ordi- nance No. 811 August 12,1952; thence 3. Southwesterly 967 feet, more or less, along the said northerly right -of -way line of Westmont Drive formerly known as Burton Street and the northerly line of said Burton Street Annexation to an angle point; thence Southerly 1020 feet, more or less, along the westerly line of said Burton Street Annexation to an angle point which is the most southwesterly corner of said Burton Street Annexation and also on the existing City Limits line; thence 5. Westerly 428 feet, more or less, along the existing City Limits line to a point on the westerly right -of- way line of Loara Street (40 ft. wide), said westerly right -of -way line also being the easterly line of the Euclid Avenue Annexation to the City of Anaheim adopted by Ordinance No. 773, February 20, 1951; thence 6. Northerly 17 feet, more or less, along said westerly right -of -way line of Loara Street and the easterly line of the said Euclid Avenue Annexation to an angle point; thence 7. Westerly )i)i2 feet, more or less, along the northerly line of said Euclid Avenue A_nexation to an angle point; thence 8. Southerly 66 feet, more or less, along the westerly line of said Euclid Avenue Annexation to an angle point; thence 9. Northwesterly 383 feet, more or less, along a curve, concave to the north, said curve also being the northeasterly line of said Euclid Avenue Annexation to an angle point; thence -2- 10. Northwesterly 408 feet, more or less, along the northeasterly line of said Euclid Avenue Annexation to an angle point; thence 11. Northerly 216 feet, more or less, along the easterly line of said Euclid Avenue Annexation to a point in the southerly line of the Crescent Avenue Annexation to the City of Anaheim, adopted by Ordinance No. 819, October 28, 1952; thence 12. Easterly 506 feet, more or less, along the southerly line of said Crescent Avenue Annexation to an angle point; thence 13. Northerly 1300 feet, more or less, along the easterly line of said Crescent Avenue A vexation to a point on the southerly right -of -way line of Crescent Avenue (40 ft. wide); thence 14. Westerly 630 feet, more or less, along the northerly line of said Crescent Avenue Annexation and the southerly right -of -way line of said Crescent Avenue to a point which is the most northwesterly corner of said Crescent Avenue A, nexation and also the most southeasterly right -of -way corner of the intersection of said Crescent and Euclid Avenue (60 ft. wide), said point also being in the easterly line of the Montgomery Annexation to the City of Anaheim, adopted by Ordinance No. 818, September 10, 1952; thence 15. Northerly along the east right-of-way line of Euclid Avenue a distance of 2100 feet, more or less, to a point, said point being the south line of the Euclid -La Palma Annexation as adopted by Ordinance No. 866, November 10, 1953; thence 16. Easterly along said line and parallel to said south line of La Palma Avenue a distance of 1290 feet, more or less, to a point of intersection with the existing city limits line; thence 17.
