A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A GRANT DEED CONVEYING
TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
FOR AN EASEMENT FOR STREET WIDFIhtTNG
PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is
desirous of purchasing the hereinafter described real property for
public purposes, to wit: An easement for street widening
PUrPoSee and
?WHEREAS, the owners of said property have offered to sell
said hereinafter described real property to the City of Anaheim
for the sum of One and no /100 ($1.00) Dollar; and
1HEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds
that it is for the benefit and best interest of the City of Ana-
heim to accept said offer and purchase said real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the offer of ARTHUR H. swTPKF. and
CATHERINE SHIPKEYhusband and wife, to sell to the City of
Anaheim the following described real property situated in the City
of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, and more partic-
ularly described as follows:
To be used for the purpose of widening Ball Road.
The Southerly 20 feet of that portion of Lot 28
of Anaheim Extension, as shown on a map by
Wm. Hamel filed in the Recorder's office of Los
Angeles County, California, December 11, 1868,
described as follows;
Beginning at the intersection of the Westerly
prolongation of the North line of Ball Road with
the intersection of the center line of Harbor
Boulevard, as conveyed to the County of Orange,
and running thence North 89° 46 30" East, along
said Westerly prolongation of said North line of
Ball Road a distance of 30 feet, more or less, to
the East line of said Harbor Boulevard; thence
continuing along said North line of Ball Road 150
feet; thence North, at right angles to said North
line of Ball Road, to the North line of the land
conveyed to Edwin Emil Kettler and wife, by deed
recorded December 17, 1951 in Book 2264, at page
590 of Official Records, of said Orange County;
thence South 89 46 30" West, along said North
line, to said center line of Harbor Boulevard;
thence South 11° 07 30" West, along said center
line, 158.48 feet to the point of beginning.
be, and the same is hereby, accepted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim, and that the City of Anaheim accept a conveyance
of said property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Treasurer of the
City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay to the
owners of said real property, out of General Funds of the City of
Anaheim, the sum of One and no /100 ($1.00) Dollar.

AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
