A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ACCEPT-
ING A GRANT DEED CONVEYING TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CERTAIN REAL
PROPERTY FOR AN EASEMENT FOR STREET WIDENING PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is desirous of pur-
chasing the hereinafter described real property for public purposes, to wit:
An easement for,street widening purposes; and
WHEREAS, the owners of said property have offered to sell said herein-
after described real property to the City of Anaheim for the sum of One and no /100
($1.00) Dollar; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds that it is for
the benefit and best interest of the City of Anaheim to accept said offer and
purchase said real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that the offer of ALVIN S. BARNETT and SINA J. BARNETT, husband and wife,
to sell to the City of Anaheim the following described real property situated
in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, and more particu-
larly described as follows:
A strip of land 5.25 feet in width, being a portion of Lot 13 of the
Anaheim Extension, as shown on a map made by William Hamel in 1868
and filed in the Office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County,
California, and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the southerly property line of East Santa
Ana Street said point being 421.38 feet, more or less, Easterly from
the Westerly line of Lot 13 of the Anaheim Extension; thence East
wardly along the South property line of said East Santa Ana Street
a distance of 491.39 feet to a point; thence Southwardly at right
angles to the South property line of said East Santa Ana Street a
distance of 5.25 feet to a point; thence Westwardly along a line
parallel to the South line of said East Santa Ana Street a distance
of 491.39 feet to a point; thence Northwardly a distance of 5.25
feet to the South property line of said East Santa Ana Street and
the point of beginning.
be, and the same is hereby, accepted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim,
and that the City of Anaheim accept a conveyance of said property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Treasurer of the City of Anaheim
be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay to the owners of said real property, out
of General Funds of the City of Anaheim, the sum of One and no /100 ($1.00) Dollar.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was approved and signed by me this 13th day
of October, 1953.
