RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING SALE OF
CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A CONVEYANCE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is the owner of the
hereinafter described real property; and
WHEREAS, said property is no longer needed for
municipal purposes; and
WIilREAS, DONALD R. BATES, a married man whose w i f e s
name is Anita B. Bates, has made an offer to purchase said
real property for the sum of Fourteen Hundred Dollars
('$1400.00) payable as follows; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
finds that it is for the benefit and best interest of the
City of Anaheim to accept said offer and sell and convey
said real property to said Donald R. Bates upon the terms
and conditions hereinafter specified;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM that the offer of Donald R. Bates to
purchase the hereinafter described real property for the sum
of Fourteen Hundred Dollars M400.00) be accepted upon the
following terms and conditions:
(1) Fourteen Hundred Dollars ($1400.00) cash,
lawful money of the United States, to be deposited in escrow
and paid to the City at the close of escrow.
(2) That said property shall be sold subject
to all conditions, restrictions, reservations, easements,
rights and rights of way of record.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City
Clerk of the City of Anaheim be, and they are hereby,
authorized to execute a good and sufficient deed conveying
to said Donald R. Bates, a married man whose wife l s name is
Anita B. Bates, the following described real property
situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
California, and more particularly described as follows,
to wit:
A tract of land in the City of Anaheim, County
of Orange State of California, including a portion
of the SW� of the SE4 of Section 3, Township 4 South,
Range 10 Jest, San Bernardino Base and Meridian and
a portion of Lots 56, 57, 58, 59 and 60 of the
Schaffer Oswald Subdivision as shown on a map there-
of filed in Book 7, Page 41, Miscellaneous Maps,
Records of Orange County, said tract of land being
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the north line of East
La Palma Avenue, said point being 30 feet north of
the monumented center line of said East La Palma
Avenue and 30.18 feet east of the monumented center
line of North Olive Street; thence northwardly along
ATTEST:
a line parallel to the monumented center line of
said North Olive Street a distance of 290 feet
to the true point of beginning; thence continuing
northwardly along a line parallel to said monu-
mented center line of North Olive Street a distance
of 40 feet to a point; thence east along a line
parallel to the north line of said East La Palma
Avenue a distance of 200 feet to a point; thence
southwardly along a line parallel to the monumented
center line of said `North Olive Street a distance'
of 40 feet to a Point; thence West along a line
parallel to the north line of said East La Palma
Avenue a distance of 200 feet to the point of begin-
ning containing an area of .183 acres.
Reserving to the City of Anaheim an easement
for public utilities over, under or across the
easterly five feet of said Tract.
The North Olive Street referred to in the
above description is the North Olive Street con-
veyed to the City of Anaheim by deed recorded
February 1, 1926 in Book 625, Page 367 of Deeds,
Records of Orange County,
SUBJECT to conditions, restrictions, easements,
reservations, rights and rights of way of record.
and to deliver said deed into escrow to be delivered to said
purchaser upon the completion of said escrow and the payment
of the full purchase price as hereinabove provided; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and
he is hereby, authorized and directed to certify a copy of
this Resolution and cause the same to be attached to the
deed executed by the Mayor and City Clerk.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by
me this lath day of July, 1953.
