1953-2166RESOLUTION NO. 2166 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT A CHANGE OF ZONE IS NECESSARY IN CERTAIN AREAS OF THE CITY, AND THAT ARTICLE IX, CHAPTER 2 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE SHOULD BE AMENDED TO ACCOMPLISH SUCH CHANGE OF ZONE. WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did heretofore duly pass a nd adopt a resolution declaring its intention to change the boundaries of the zone or zones hereinafter mentioned and described and did fix a time and place for the holding of public hearings thereon in the manner and as prescribed in Ordinance No. 774 of the City of Anaheim, and did duly hold and conduct two public hearings to consider such proposed change of zone, and did receive evidence and reports from persons interested therein; and WHEREAS, within a period of forty (40) days fol- lowing the final hearing thereon, the Planning Commission did duly announce by formal resolution its finding of fact and declare its opinions and reasons for recommending an amendment to certain ordinances to effect the proposed changes of boundaries hereinafter mentioned and described; and WHEREAS, following the adoption of said resolution by the City Planning Commission, and prior to said action thereon by the City Council, the City Ordinances of th City of Anaheim were codified and incorporated in a code known and designated as the Anaheim Municipal Code, and that said Ordinance No. 774 was incorporated in Article IX, Chapter 2 of said Anaheim Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, following the receipt of report and recom- mendation of the City Plann 2,.- •'a'x� ission the City Council did fix the a 6 day of 19 as the time, and the Council hambers in the City 1 of the City of Anaheim as the place for public hearing upon said proposed change of zone, and did give notice thereof in the manner and as provided in Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public hearing the City Council did duly hold and conduct such public hearing and did give all persons interested therein an op- portunity to be heard, and did receive evidence and reports, and did thereupon consider the recommendations of the City Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that the M -1, Light Manufacturing Zone, is a more suitable place for the establishment and maintenance of kennels than the 0 -2, General Business Zone; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that all kennels situated or estab- lished and maintained in the City of Anaheim shall be establish- ed and maintained in the M -1, Light Manufacturing Zone, and shall be excluded from all other zones in the City, and that the establishment and maintenance of said kennels be changed from the 0 -2, General Business Zone, to the M -1, Light Manu- facturing Zone; and 2 03 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to prepare and submit to the City Council an amendment to Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code to amend said Anaheim Municipal Code to accomplish the object herein found and determined to be necessary and proper.
