1947-1564RESOLUTION NO. 1564 RESOLUTION ADOPTING WAGE SCALE FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONTRACTS BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM that in accord- ance with the provisions of Section 1770 of the Labor Code of the State of California, said City Council has ascertained, the general prevailing rate of hourly wages and rates for legal holiday and overtime work for each craft or type of laborer, workman or mechanic needed for the execution of public work contracts within said City, said prevailing rates so de- termined being as follows: Trade or Ocoupation Minimum Hourly Wage Rate Asphalt Mechanical Finisher Operator 1.90 Asphalt Plant Dryerman or Fireman 1.775 Asphalt Plant Engineer or Foreman 1.90 Asphalt Plant Apprentice Oiler and Greaser 1.525 Asphalt Raker and Ironer 1 .55 Blacksmith 1.90 Blacksmith Helper 1.525 Bootman 1.475 Boring Machine Operator (excluding pneumatic) 1.975 Box Mixer Operator 1.65 Bricklayer 2.25 Bricktender 1.625 Carpenter 1.90 Cement Finisher 1.975 Compressor Operator 1.65 Concrete Mixer Operator (skip type) 1.775 Concrete Mechanioal Finisher Operator 1.90 Concrete Mixer Operator Paving Type and Mobile 2.00 Cutting Torch Operator 1.40 Electrician, Cable Splicer 2.30 Electrician 2.00 Fine Grader (paving) 1. Any classification not listed above, not less than 1.35 The foregoing wage scales are for an eight hour day, forty hour week, time and one -half for overtime and double time Sundays and legal holidays, except as otherwise provided in the May 1, 1947, revision of the A.C€.0.- A.F.L. Southern California Master Labor Agreement and Supplements, which shall govern for such overtime and double time pay and for the wage scale for foremen not otherwise listed above. Properly indentured apprentices to any of the trades listed above may be employed upon the project with skilled workmen subject to the provisions of Section 1777.5 of the California Labor Code, the wage rate for suoh apprentices to be determined as provided in said section.
