1947-15211 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 2 OF ANAHEIM, FIXING REGULAR DATES FOR PAYMENT OF SALARIES AND COMPENSATION OF CITY EMPLOYEES 3 WHEREAS, the salaries and compensations of city employee 4 of the City of Anaheim have heretofore been paid upon irregular 5 dates after approval thereof by the City Council, and 6 WHEREAS, the time elapsing between the meetings of the 7 8 City Council when said salary and compensation warrants can be 9 approved by the City Council varies, resulting in payments being YO delayed for periods longer than two week intervals with resulting 11 inconvenience to city employees, and 12 WHEREAS, the City Council having considered the matter, 13 finds that it would be for the benefit of the City of Anaheim and 14 the employees thereof to have regular, and definite dates fixed 15 for the payment of salaries and compensations of said City 16 employees, and an authorization of such payments by the City Clerk 17 and the City Treasurer, and providing for aplz oval thereafter by 18 the City Council: 19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF 20 THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, that the salaries and compensations of all 21 city employees be paid twice monthly on the lOth and the 25th day 22 of each and every month hereafter, and 23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City 24 of Anaheim be and he is hereby authorized to issue payroll warrants 25 in compliance with this Resolution, and that the City Treasurer 26 be and he is hereby authorized to pay said warrants so issued, and 27 that said payroll warrants need not be audited by the City Council 28 prior to the issuance and payment thereof, and 29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the heads of all Departments 30 of the City of Anaheim be and they are hereby directed to furnish 31 to the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim payroll and attendance 32 records of their various departments, duly certified for payment RESOLUTION NO. 1521 and approved by them as to the employees in their respective departments on or beforethe 3rd day and the 18th day of each and every month hereafter, and the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim is hereby authorized to issue payroll warrants for the payment of salaries and compensations therefor, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the payrolls of the City Em- ployees of the City of Anaheim, duly certified as aforesaid shall be presented to the City Council for ratification and approval at the first or any regular meeting of the City Council succeeding the delivery of such payroll warrants.
