RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DECLARING
1 RESULT OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
ON TUESDAY, THE 12TH DAY OF APRIL, 1938.

WHEREAS,
a general
municipal
election was held and conducted
4
in the City of
Anaheim
on Tuesday,
the 12th day of April, 1938, as
5 required by law, and,
6 WHEREAS, it appears that notice of said election was duly
7 and legally given, that voting precincts were properly established
8 for the said election, that election officers were appointed, and
9 election supplies furnished, and that in all respects said electio
10 1 was held and conducted, and the votes cast thereat received and
11 canvassed, and returns thereof made and declared in the time,
12 form and manner as required by the laws of the State of California
13 governing elections in cities of the sixth class, and,
14 WHEREAS, the City Council of said City met at the chamber of
15 said City Council on Monday, the 18th day of April, 1938, to can -
16 vass the returns of said election, and install the newly elected
17 officers, and that said City Council did canvass the said election
18 at said time, in the manner and form required by law, as a result
19 of which, the said City Council finds that the number of votes
20 cast, the names of the persons voted for, and other matters
21 required by law, to be as hereinafter stated,
22 NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Anaheim do
23 resolve as follows:
2 4 That said regular municipal election was held and conducted
25 in the City of Anaheim on Tuesday, the 12th day of April, 1938,
26 at the time, and in the form and manner, as required by law;
27 That there were eight voting precincts established for the
28 purpose of holding said election, of a consolidation
29 of the regular election precincts established by order of the
30 Board of Supervisors for holding general state and county election ,
31 as follows:

2 county precincts, "Anaheim Precincts Nos. 1, 5 and 6.

22 Consolidated Voting Precinct "C" was 269
23 That the whole number of votes cast at said election in
24 Consolidated Voting Precinct "D" was 216
25 That the whole number of votes cast at said election in
26 Consolidated Voting Precinct "E" was 222
27 That the whole number of votes cast at said election in
28 Consolidated Voting Precinct "F" was 227.
29 That the whole number of votes cast at said election in
30 Consolidated Voting Precinct "G" was 247.
31 That the whole number of votes cast at said election in
32 Consolidated Voting Precinct "H" was 220.

BE IT FU T R RESOLVED that at said general municipal election.
21 11orris W. Martenet, Jr., Leo J. Sheridan, and F. A. Yungbluth,

received the highest number of votes given for the office of mem-
24 ber of the City Council, and they are hereby severally declared
25 elected to such office, respectively.
26 The City Clerk of the City of Anaheim shall, and he is hereby
27 directed to, enter upon the records of the City Council of said
28 City a statement of the result of said election, showing:

the office to which they have been elected.

The foregoing resolution is approved, signed and attested
