ing after the taking of such appeal, set the same for hearing on

1. That Jane D. Helmsen i s, and was at the time that said
Board of Trustees acquired jurisdiction to order the fore going
described work done, the owner of a portion of Building I,ot No.
33, as shown on a map recorded in Boak 4 0~ Deeds, at :Pages 689
and 630, Records of Zos ~,ngeles County, California; which said
property is included in assessment No. II, for the vaork and imp rev
meat hereinbefore described.
~. That the assessment, diagram, and warrant, in said pro-
ceeding, sho~rs a portion of said Building Bot No. 33, which is
owned by said Jane D. Helmsen, abutting ar fronting upon said
a11ey, and that the carne is a.n error in this; That a portion of
said Zot which is hereinafter described, and which belongs to
some person other than the said Jane D. Helmsen, does abut upon

said alley, and forms and constitutes a separate and different Lot
to
from that portion of said Building Lot No. 33, which belong and
is the property of said Jane v. Helnsen,
THER -F'ORi BE IT FURTH..P. R~SOLV D, by said Bo and of Trustees,
that the Superintendent of Streets of the City of Axlaheim be, and
he is hereby authorized and di rected to alter and modify the assese~~
ment, warrant, and diagram, in the proceeding above named, in such
manner that said assessment, warrant, and diagram ~sha.ll show the
hereinafter described portion of said building Lot No. 33, abutting
and fronting on said alley, to be a separate lot from the remain-
ing portion of said building Lot No. 33, belonging to said Jane
D. Helmsen, and that said x~ortion of said Building Lot No. 33 be
assessed to the owner thereof ar if the owner thereof be unknown,
t3~~n that the same be assessed to an unknown owner.
That said portion of said Building Lot Tbo. .33, abutting
upon said alley, which belongs to a person other than said Jane
i}. Helmsen, is described as follows;
Beginning at a point on the eJesterly line of Building Lot
No. 33, ~s shown o n a map recorded in Book 4 of Doeds, at Pages
fi29 and 630, Records of Los Angeles County, California, said point
of beginning being nine (9 } feet Northerly from the Southwesterly
corner of said Lot No. 33; thence Northerly along the ,Testerly
line of said Lot, six (6) feat; thence masterly pwr€~llel to the
Southerly line of said Lot, Forty-nine and eighty-five hundredths
(49.85) feet; thence Southerly parallel to the ddesterly line of
said yot, six {6) feat; thence ~desterly parallel to the Southerly

feet to the place of beginning.
