Whereas, at the special election held in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, on the 30th day of January,
1911, in pursuance of Ordinance No. 229 of said City, Proposition
No. 1, to —wit: "Shall the City of Anaheim incur a bonded indebted—
ness of ninety thousand dollars for the purpose of acquiring a
sewer farm and constructing a sewer system? "received 353 votes for
its adoption and 24 votes against its adoption; arui. Proposition No.
2, to —wit: "Shall the City of Anaheim incur a bonded indebtedness
of eight thousand five hundred dollars for the purpose of acquiring
and constructing additions to the City Electric Light Plant ?" re--
neived 303 vots for its adoption and 68 votesagainst its adoption;
and
Whereas, due notice of said election was given ir; the manner
and for the time required by law and the ordinances of the City of
,Anaheim., and said election was held at the time Pnd in the manner
required by law and the ordinances of said City; and.
'whereas, said. election was legally and fairly conducted in the
manner required by law and the ordinances of said City, and the
returns thereof were duly made and certified to this Board and that
slid returns have been duly canvassed by this Board; and
Whereas, the number of votes in favor of incurring the indebt—
edness specified in said Propositions 1 and 2 was more than two —
thirds of all the votes cpst at said. special election; therefore
be it
Resolved, that said propositions 1 and 2 were duly accepted.
and adopted by the votes of more than two— thirds of all the voters
voting at such special election, and that the said propositions
have carried and were duly accepted by the qualified voters of this
I;►u1 i ipAlity, and that the said City of Anaheim is duly authorized
to issue bonds in the sum of 498,500.00 for the purposes specified
in said propositions respectively.
The motion to adopt said resolution was secondtd. by Trustee
and adopted by the following vote:
