Whereas, The Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim did on
the I3th,day of July I392, duly pass a resolution ordering; certain
work to be done on Herr2line Street, as follows, towit : - - --
Ist, -That said IIermine Street in said Pity of Anaheim
from the north: line`` of Center Street, to' the aoizth line of Chartres
Street be graded to the official grade,and graveled with good
gravel,the gravel to be four inches deep;
2nd, - -- -That a redwood curb*be constructed along each line
of the raadway of said Ilermine Street,from the north line of the
said Center Street,io the so -nth line of said Chartres Street,in
accordance with specifications for the construction of redwood
curbs as contained in ordinance nuz. 48;
3rd, - - --
That
a sidewalk
eight
feet
wide
be constructed along each
side of
said
street',froi
the
north
side
of Center Street,to the
south side of Chartres Street,said sidewalk to be covered with
gravel two inches deep; and
Whereas, Said resolution was published for two :lays in the
Anaheim Gazette a weekly newspaper printed and published in the
City of Anaheim County of Orange State of California, and,
VnMereas, A notice of said work inviting sealed proposals
or bids for doing the work described in said resolution and referr-
ing to the specifications posted and an ::file was published for
two :lays in the Anaheim Gazette a weekly newspaper printed and
published ii�the said City of Anaheim, and
Z'Mereas A notice of said work inviting sealed proposals
or bids for doing said work described in said resolution and refer_r,
tea for five days,and
Whereas, - -- None of the proposals or bids offered for the
performance of said work on said Hermine Street,were accompanied

y a check payable to the order of the President of the Board of
Trustees of the City of Anaheim,gertified by a responsible 1)�Lnk,
or by a bond so payable as required by lavr; QW o-"r
ow Therefore be it, Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the
City of Anaheim;
That all of said bids or proposals for the performance of
work on the said Hermine Street be and the same are hereby rejected.
The City Clerk of the City of Anaheim is hereby directed to
readvertize for proposals or bids for the performance of said
work on said Hermine Street,by publishing a notice of said work
inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the work,and referring
to the specifications posted or on file for two days in the
.a weekly newspaper p ublished � p and circulat
in this rity,hereby designated for that purpose; Saidnshall re-
quire a certified check,or a bond,either,as prescribed by lawand to
for an amount not less than ten per cent of the aggregate of the
proposal; lie is hereby directed to post said notice with speci-
fications for five days on or near the Council chamber door of the
Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim.
