Dear Christine Nguyen, I first heard the City of Anaheim is currently considering obtaining a Prohousing Designation by the State of California last week. I am concerned about what the ramifications are if the City of Anaheim were to obtain such a designation. While I am all for making housing more affordable in Anaheim, I am extremely concerned if by agreeing to such a designation Anaheim would be giving up authority to the state that should stay local. I have read a list of the benefits of such a designation I am concerned about requirements that may force additional housing in areas that are high fire areas. I am a resident of Anaheim Hills and believe that any additional housing in certain areas of Anaheim Hills needs to be prefaced by taking steps to ensure that there is sufficient infrastructure and access and egress to allow for safe evacuation in the event of fire. Currently the infratucture and access and egress is sorely lacking. In addition, I believe that there should be more education/information provided to the public on this topic before anything is decided. Thank you for your consideration. Peace, Tannis Dunbar-Soto Resident of Anaheim 1
