On August 7th, I will be holding the second session of our Older Adult Congressional Collaborative to
talk about how people entering retirement years can continue to prioritize health and finances.
I’ll be joined by guest speaker Dr. Robert Kovachev, a retired professor from the CSUF College of
Business & Economics. He will offer his insight on what steps he recommends be taken to ensure
that your retirement years are among the best to come.

Dear Neighbor,
This week, I returned to Orange County to continue the good fight on behalf of the neighbors and
communities that make this place home. From honoring the best of our community to bringing home
investments and advocating for our most vulnerable, I was happy to bring over the rewarding work
from Washington to OC. As I continue to bring your stories to the halls of Congress, I wanted to take
a moment to show you what I’ve been working on.
HONORING THOSE WHO MAKE A LASTING DIFFERENCE
This week, I hosted my inaugural ‘Men of Impact’ reception to honor the hardworking individuals who
make a lasting difference in bettering our community. From our fathers and mentors to our coaches
and educators, these men don’t do it for the recognition, yet they still have a meaningful impact on all
of us here in Orange County. I was proud to celebrate them and express gratitude for their role in
making this place the home that we all know and love. I’m already looking forward to the next one!

DISCUSSING SOLUTIONS TO HELP OUR HEROES
This week, I met with Orange County veterans and first responders in the Psilocybin Advisory
Committee to hear their stories and discuss ways that we can use psychedelic research to help our
heroes suffering from the wounds of trauma. Their experiences underscore the need for continued
psychedelic research and innovation. As co-chair of the congressional PATH Caucus, I’m looking
forward to bringing these ideas back to Washington and continuing to work with my colleagues in
Congress to support those who have sacrificed so much to protect us.

Rep. Correa meets with local veterans and first responders
BRINGING HOME INVESTMENTS FOR THE NEXT GENERATION
This week, I announced $500,000 in federal funding for the OC Riverwalk Upland Habitat
Restoration Project. This project will revitalize the natural landscape, improve biodiversity, and
support urban greening in the Orange County Riverwalk area. For decades, I've fought to protect
and expand green space along the Santa Ana River, going back to when I authored the legislation
that created the Santa Ana River Conservancy as a state senator. This funding is just another step
toward creating a cleaner, healthier, and more vibrant Orange County!

Rep. Correa presents $500k for the OC Riverwalk
WORKING TO ENSURE MEDICAL CARE FOR THOSE DETAINED
Nobody should be denied basic care because they're behind bars. This week, I traveled to Los
Angeles to join my colleagues to announce the Stop ICE’s Medical Neglect Act. This bill gives people
in detention a real way to speak up about medical neglect without fear of retaliation. People in
federal custody still deserve basic human dignity, and we're working to make sure they get it.

HELPING OUT OUR NEIGHBORS IN NEED
This week, I stopped to join my friends at United Across Borders and lend a hand at a local
community food drive here in OC. When our neighbors are in need, I believe that it’s our God-given
duty to answer the call. It was great helping give out fresh produce and nutritional groceries to the
folks looking to put food on the table. Grateful to serve alongside such dedicated volunteers who
do so much to make sure no neighbor goes hungry. When we come together to serve, our
community only grows stronger!

This week, I spent time connecting with our Orange County community and cherishing the people,
places, and values that make this special place home for all of us. Whether it was evenings with our
officers in uniform, educational conversations on civic engagement and leadership, or gearing up for
back-to-school season, it was a meaningful week to be back home and support the communities that
shape our District. As I continue to bring your stories to the halls of Congress, I wanted to take a
moment to show you what I’ve been working on.
AN EVENING WITH OUR OFFICERS IN UNIFORM

Rep. Correa with the Anaheim Police Department at National Night Out ’26
This week, I had the pleasure of joining the Orange County community at the Anaheim Police
Department’s National Night Out 2026. Seeing so many neighbors, community partners, and our men
and women in uniform come together for this event was inspiring to say the least. It was wonderful
seeing our community come together for an evening filled with fun, education, community
connection, and even helicopters! Thankful to our Anaheim PD for putting this event together, it’s
always a great time.
A CONVERSATION WITH THE NEXT GENERATION

Rep. Correa with OC Youth at UC Irvine
This week, I spoke with local youth at UC Irvine to discuss important issues impacting our
community. From an educational conversation on election security to a discussion on the impacts
of local history, it was a pleasure being able to connect with our young folks. Hearing their
perspectives, ambitions, and plans for the future left me feeling more hopeful than ever. I think it’s
fair to say that our Orange County community is in great hands with this next generation of
leaders!
GEARING UP FOR BACK TO SCHOOL SEASON

Rep. Correa Distributing School Supplies with CalOptima
As summer winds down and our students prepare to head back to the classroom, it’s an exciting time
to kick off the new school year. This week, I had the pleasure of joining my friends at CalOptima
Health to distribute supplies at the Orange USD Back-to-School Health and Wellness Fair. It was
wonderful to meet with our students and families and help our students prepare for yet another
school year. There’s nothing better than seeing our community come together to support the next
generation. I’m wishing all of our students, teachers, and families a fantastic school year ahead!

This week, I stopped by Chapman University to celebrate our local entrepreneurs at the
Emprendedor@s 2026 graduation ceremony. The Emprendedor@s program offers aspiring and
current entrepreneurs the unique opportunity to gain valuable work skills, grow connections, and
learn how to grow a business here in Orange County. I was proud to recognize this year’s
Emprendedor@s graduates and congratulate them on their hard work and determination. I look
forward to seeing the positive impact that they’ll leave in our community in the years ahead.
