Dear Mayor and City Councilmembers, I am a resident of Anaheim and a parent of two daughters ( . I am submitting this written public comment regarding ongoing issues I have observed at the corner of Orange Avenue and Beach Boulevard, particularly near the CVS Pharmacy and the public bus stop. Over the past two weeks, while driving my daughters to school around 7:30 a.m., I have witnessed women standing or walking in the area wearing thongs that fully expose their bottoms. On one occasion a woman was also partially exposing her breasts and waved at our vehicle. My daughter was shocked by the first incident. My has now seen similar situations and asked why the women were only wearing underwear. These are not conversations a parent should have to navigate on the way to school. This morning I again observed concerning activity at the bus stop on Beach Boulevard and Orange Avenue, including an older woman in extremely short shorts bent over while several men stood nearby, along with people and belongings clustered at the shelter. I have attached a photograph taken this morning that documents the conditions at the bus stop. The CVS parking lot and surrounding area also frequently have people sleeping, loitering, and leaving trash. Cameras alone do not appear to be resolving the problem. This is not a good look for our city and makes the area less safe and less appropriate for families. I respectfully request that the City increase enforcement of public indecency and loitering laws in this corridor, address the concentrated homelessness and trash around the CVS and bus stop, and take concrete steps to make Beach Boulevard and Orange Avenue safer and more family-friendly. Thank you for your attention to this quality-of-life and public-safety concern. Respectfully, Viridiana Cortes Anaheim resident 1 2
