A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC CON-
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO WIT:

AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC IM-
PROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
construction and completion of a public improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
Removal of trees on State College Boulevard,
from Ball Road to Wagner Avenue, in the City of
Anaheim, consisting of removing, transporting
and transplanting 38 palm trees, including
backfill, watering, traffic control, clean up,
and appurtenant work as more particularly set
forth in the plans and specifications on file
in the Office of the City Clerk or City Engineer,
Job No. 922.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed the Public
Works De artment to prepare detailed designs,
pans, p ro i es, rawings an specifications, and estimates of
quantities and costs and make necessary surveys for the con-
struction of said public improvement; and
WHEREAS, said Public Works De artment has
prepared said detailed esi.gns, p ans, pro es, rawings and
specifications for the construction of said public improvement
and has submitted the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement above mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practice and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and resi-
dents in said area for the purposes for which they are intended,
and that they are adequate for the construction of said public
improvement and should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, EE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Araae im that the detailed designs, plans,
profiles, drawings &r'rd specifications for said public improve-
ment hereinatbcve me *icned and described, be ..nd the same
are hereby, approved and adopted as prepared by said Public
Works Department
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improve-
ment s'hn11 be cor.struaLid in accordance with said detailed
designs, plans, pr'of'iles drawings and specifications as
prepared by said is Works De artment and hereby
approved, and such addenda or tinodific tions thereto as may be
approved prior to the awarding c f bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHFR RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, ard she is hereby, authorized nd directed
to publish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals
for the furnishing of all plant, ]Labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all utlit:ie.s, and transportation, including
power, fuel and water, and performing all work n 'cessary to
construct and complete, in good and workmanlike manner, in
strict accord.,nce with said detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings .as nd specifications as pr-pared by said Public

that said notice shall be published twice, the first of which

bidder or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract
with the City of Anaheim i, n r+le manner and form approved by
