A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT AMENDING THAT CER-
TAIN ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND
COUNTY OF ORANGE DATED APRIL 16, 1963.

WHEREAS, the County has entered into an Arterial High-
way Financing Program Agreement with the City of Anaheim dated
the 16th day of April, 1963, for the improvement of Katella
Avenue from Howell Street to Los Angeles Street in accordance
with the policies of the Arterial Highway Financing Program; and
WHEREAS, it is mutually agreed that it would be of
community -wide benefit to expedite the construction of that
portion from 190 feet westerly of The Atchison, Topeka and
Santa Fe Railway to the easterly Anaheim City Limit Line; and
WHEREAS, construction of said portion may be expedited
by making it part of an adjacent project for which the County
has been designated as Contracting Authority and Construction
Engineer; and
WHEREAS, the County of Orange has tendered to the City
of Anaheim an agreement to be made and entered into between the
County and the City amending the aforementioned agreement by
providing for the County to perform the construction of that
portion of Katella Avenue from 190 feet westerly of The Atchison,
Topeka and Santa Fe Railway to the easterly City Limits; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be for
the benefit of the City to enter into said agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the agreement this day tendered to
the City by the County of Orange to be made and entered into
by the City and the County, providing for the amendment of that
certain Arterial Highway Financing Program Agreement between
said parties, dated April 16, 1963, as follows:
1. Paragraph 2 of said agreement shall be amended to read;
the Contracting Authority for the project is hereby
designated as City of Anaheim, except for that portion
from 190 feet westerly of the Atchison, Topeka and
Santa Fe Railway to the easterly Anaheim City Limit
Line, for which the Contracting Authority will be
County of Orange.
2. Paragraph 4 shall be amended to read; the Construc-
tion Engineer for the project is hereby designated as
City of Anaheim, except for that portion from 190
feet westerly of The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe
Railway to the easterly Anaheim City Limit Line, for
which the Construction Engineer will be County of
Orange.
3. Paragraph 7 shall be amended to read; (e) The City
shall reimburse the County for one hundred per cent

be, and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized to execute said agreement
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 5th day of January, 1965.
