RESOLUTION O THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REWESTIN THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO
INCLUDE WITHIN THE ARTERIAL t JJ FINANCINg
PROgRAM THE DEVELOPMENT OF BROADWAY
WHEREAS, the City cf Anaheim desires to improve
Broadway from Avenue
to Loara Street
;and
WHEREAS, Broadway is an important
artery in the County of Crarge rd cf ge-,er,1 County interest; and
WHEREAS, Article ard Article J, Chapter 9, Division 2
of the Streets and Highways Code authorizes a County, if it so
desires, to expend furids apportioned to it out of the California
Highway Users Tax Fund for aid to ary City ir the improvement,
construction or repair of a street within a City; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors interds to, by appro-
priate action, provide in the County 5udget. of the Special Road
Improvement Purd for the Fiscal 1 1965 a sum of
money for the improvement of streets oithir the incorporated
cities of the County in accordance witt tie Orange County Arterial
Highway Financing Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESCIVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the Cit of Ana2neim hereby requests the Board
of Supervisors of the Couty of Orange to allocate to said City
from County Funds the ammnt of _4600.00

Loara Street and for the acquisi-
tion of necessary rights of way; said improvements and acquisition
of rights of way to he in a ccordnce with the attached project
statement.

BE IT F7RTHER RESOLVED that, by this resolution, the City
of Anaheim agrees with ti-,e basic concepts of the Arterial Highways
Financing Program; and further agrees that its share of the cost
of improvements and rights of way \411 be available for the fiscal
year _1965_46
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she is
hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this
resolution to the Board of Supervisors of Orarge County, Califor-
nia, and a certified copy to the County Surveyor and Road Commis-
sioner, 400 West 8th Street, Sarta Ar,a, California.
