OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A FREEWAY AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
STATE OF CALIFORNIA .AND THh CITY OF ANAHEIM
RELATING TO THE RIVERSIDE FREEWAY (ROAD 7-
ORA-91-3.3N-9.2 OLD 7-ORA-175-ANA) BETWEEN
THE WESTERLY CITY LIMITS NEAR DALE STREET AND
STATE ROUTE 55.

WHEREAS, the California Highway Commission on January
15, 1952, passed a resolution declaring that portion of Route
91 (Old 'Route 175) in the County of Orange between 0.4 mile
east of Raymond Avenue and Route 55 at West Peralta Hills Drive
to be a freeway, and on December 16, 1953, passed a resolution
declaring that portion of Route 91 (Old Route 175) in the
Cities of Anaheim and Fullerton and the County of Orange be-
tween 'Route 5 and Route 250 to be a freeway, and in the same
action rescinded a portion of the resolution passed January 15,
1952, as it pertained to that portion of Route 91 (Old Route
175) between 0.4 mile east of Raymond Avenue and Route 250,
and on June 23, 1954, passed a resolution declaring that portion
of Route 91 (Old Route 175) in the Cities of Buena Park and
Anaheim and Counties of Los Angeles and Orange between Palo
Verde Avenue and Route 5 to be a freeway; and
WHEREAS, the State and the Gity of Anaheim have hereto-
fore entered into a freeway agreement dated June 19, 1962,
covering the Route 91 Freeway, Road 7-Ora-91, between the West-
erly City Limit near Dale Street and the Easterly City Limit
near Jefferson Street; and
WHEREAS, the State and the County of Orange have here-
tofore entered into a freeway agreement dated October 23, 1962,
covering the Route 91 Freeway, Road 7-Ora-91, between the
Anaheim City Limit near Sunkist Street and State Route 55; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to entering into said freeway
agreements dated June 19, 1962, and October 23, 1962, the
State and the Gity have mutually agreed to certain revisions
of plan; and
WHEREAS, a plan map for such freeway has heretofore
been prepared showing the proposed plan of the State as it
affects streets of the City, including provisions for closing
City streets, for carrying City streets over or under or to
a connection with such freeway, for relocation of City streets,
and for construction of frontage roads and other local roads;
and
WHEREAS, it is the mutual desire of the State and the
City to enter into a new Freeway Agreement in accordance with
the revised plan of said freeway; and
WHEREAS, the State of California, Department of
Public Works, Division of Highways, has submitted a new Free-
way Agreement to the City of Anaheim to be made and entered
into between the City and the State of California, Department
of Public Works, covering changes affecting City streets in
the construction of the Riverside Freeway in accordance with
the revised plan of said freeway; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be for
the benefit and best interest of the City and the traveling
public to enter into said Freeway Agreement with the State of
California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the new Freeway Agreement this day sub-
mitted to the City Council, to be made and entered into between
the City of Anaheim and the State of California, Department of
Public Works, providing for certain changes in City streets
which will be affected in the construction of the Riverside
Freeway (7-0ra-91-3.3N-9.2 Old 7-Ora-175-Ana) between the
Westerly City Limits near Dple Street and State Route 55, in
accordance with the revised plan of said Freeway, upon the
terms and conditions therein set forth, be and the same is
hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby authorize&to execute said agreement
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 15th day of December, 1964.
