A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND LEO FREEDMAN
WITH REFERENCE TO THE DEDICATION AND IMPROVE-
MENT OF FREEDMAN WAY.
WHEREAS, the City intends to abandon a portion of Alro
Avenue, which is unimproved; and
WHEREAS, there are no through streets on that property
bounded by Manchester Avenue, Harbor Boulevard, Katella Avenue
and Haster Street, which is the area in which Alro Avenue is
located; and
WHEREAS, that property bounded by the aforesaid streets
is rapidly developing and must be provided with street circula-
tion and access; and
WHEREAS, Leo Freedman has offered to construct and
improve Freedman Way from Harbor Boulevard to Manchester Avenue;
and
WHEREAS, Freedman Way will bisect that property bounded
by Manchester Avenue, Harbor Boulevard, Katella Avenue, and
Haster Street; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and Leo Freedman desire to
enter into an agreement providing for the dedication of Freedman
Way to the City, and for the improvement thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that an agreement be made and entered into
by and between the City of Anaheim and Leo Freedman, the terms
and conditions of which shall be as follows:
1. Leo Freedman shall grant to City an easement for
road and public utility purposes over, under and
across that certain real property in the City of
Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California,
described as follows:
The North 60.00 feet of the Southerly 1320 feet
of the Southeast quarter of Section 22, Township 4
South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho San Juan Cajon
de Santa Ana, as shown on a Map recorded in
Book 51, page 10 of Miscellaneous Maps, records
of Orange County, California.
Excepting therefrom any portion thereof conveyed
to the City of Anaheim by deed recorded May 15,
1962 in Book 6109, page 658 of Official Records of
Orange County, California.
Also excepting therefrom any portion thereof
lying Easterly of the Southwesterly right of
way line of Manchester Avenue.

2. Leo Freedman shall bear the cost of constructing
the street, gutters and curbs when installed upon
the parcel of real property first hereinabove
described.
3. For the above conveyance, the City shall pay to
Leo Freedman $7,120.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized to execute said agreement for
and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance
be and he is hereby authorized to pay to Leo Freedman the sum
of $7,120.00 in accordance with the terms of said agreement.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 4th day of November, 1964.
