A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM DETERMINING THE NECESSITY
FOR AND DIRECTING THE ACQUISITION BY EMINENT
DOMAIN oF REAL PR FOR CIVIC CONVENTION
CENTER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
acquisition, improvement and maintenance of a public improve-
ment within the City of Anaheim, to wit: a civic convention
center; and
EEREAS, tie City Council does find and determine that
public interest and necessity require the acquisition by the
City of Anaheim of all that certain real property herein
described for the improvement and maintenance of a civic conven-
tion center;
NOW, TthRLF0d, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that public interest and necessity require
the acquisition of that certain real property situated in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of Califoraia more
particularly described as follows, to wit:
Parcel 1: The North 5 acres of the South IC
acres of the halt one-half of the Northeast
quarter of he Nortest puarter of Section 27,
Township 4 South, Range 1;S West, in the Rancho
San Juan Caion de Santa Ana, as shown on a map
recorded in Book 51, Page 10 of Miscellaneous
Maps, records of Orange County, California.
Parcel 2: The North 10 acres of the Last one-
half of the Northeast quarter of the Northwest
quarter of Section 27, Township 4 South, aange
10 West, in the Rancho San Juan Cajon de Santa
Ana, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 51,
Page 10 of Miscellaneous Maps, records o
Orange County, California.
Excepting therefrom the North 346 feet;
Also excepting therefrom the West 4 feet.
Parcel 3: The South 5 acres of the East one-
half of the Northeast quarter of the Northwest
quarter of Section 27, Township 4 South,
Range 10 West, in the Rancho an Juan Cajon de
Santa Ana, as shown on a Map recorded in Book.
51, Page 10 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of
Orange County, California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does
hereby find and determine that public interest and necessity re-
quire the acquisition of said land by the City of Anaheim for
the improvement and maintenance of the aforesaid project, and
that the taking of the property hereinabove described is
necessary therefor, and that the use to which it is to be
applied is a use authorized by law and the taking of said
property is necessary to such use.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the acquisition of
said property by the City of Anaheim be and it is hereby
authorized, and the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim be
and he is hereby authorized to commence an action in eminent
domain for the acquisition of fee title to said property, and
to perform and carry out all of the necessary proceedings and
steps incident to the acquisition of the title to said property
by eminent domain or otherwise.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 27th day of October, 1964.
