A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC CON
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT TO WIT:
THE IMPROVEMENT OF KATELLA AVENUE FRO LEWIS

AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC IM-
PROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
construction and completion of a public improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit
The Improvement of Katella Avenue, from Lewis Street to
approximately 290 feet west of Southern Pacific Railroad,
in the City of Anaheim, consisting of excavation, in-
cluding haulaway, disposal, embankment and import borrow;
application of prime coat; construction of a R.C.P. cul-
vert including jacking a 30 -inch R.C.P. and constructing
related inlet and outlet structures; construction of
asphalt concrete pavement, aggregate base, Portland
Cement Concrete curb and curb and gutter; adjusting man-
holes and water valve boxes to grade, and appurtenant
work as more particularly set forth in the plans and
specifications on file in the Office of the City Clerk
or City Engineer, Project No. 102, Phase II.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed the Public

quantities and costs and make necessary surveys for the con-
struction of said public improvement; and
WHEREAS, said p ublic Works De•artment has
prepared said detailed esigns, pans, pro. es, •rawings and
specifications for the construction of said public improvement
and has submitted the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement above mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practice and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and resi-
dents in said area for the purposes for which they are intended,
and that they are adequate for the construction of said public
improvement and should be approved.
NOW, THEREFCRE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim t;h.a.t the detailed designs, plans,
profiles, drawings and specifications for said public improve
ment hereinnabove Tentiened and described, be, and the same
are hereby, approved and adopted s prepared by said Public
Works Department
D BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improve

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and .she is hereby, authorized :nd directed
to publish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals
for the furnishing of all plant, labor., services, materials and
equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including
power, fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to
construct and complete, i °e a good and workmanlike manner, in
strict accordance with said detailed designs, plans, profiles,

fixed for the opening of bids, and that said publications

AND BE IT FLRTAER RESOLVED that the successful
bidder or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract
with the City of Anaheim in the manner and form approved by
the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the construction,
installation Yid completion, of said public improvement herein
above mentioned and described, in accordance with the plans
and specifications prepared by said b Work e art n
the notice inviting sealed proposals, t is reso ut on an a
applicable City Ordinances or Cede Sections and the 1 w of the
State of California, n.d shall be required to post bonds and
insurance in the amounts and within the time required by law,
as specified in the notice initing sealed proposals, and in
a form approved by the City Attorney.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
