A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO.
65R -159 FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE
THE CONSTRUCTION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT,
TO WIT: FURNISHING, FABRICATION AND
ERECTION OF STRUCTURAL STEEL FOR THE
ANAHEIM CONVENTION CENTER, IN THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM, JOB NO. 932, BY CHANGING THE
DATE FOR THE OPENING OF SEALED PROPOSALS
FOR SAID PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT.
WHEREAS, the City Council did on March 2, 1965 adopt
its Resolution No. 65R -159 finding and determining that public
convenience and necessity require the construction and com-
pletion of a public improvement, to wit:
Furnishing, fabrication and erection of
structural steel for the Anaheim Convention
Center, in the City of Anaheim, Job No. 932.
and authorizing the City Clerk to publish a notice according
to law, inviting sealed proposals for the furnishing of all
plant, labor, services, materials, etc. for the construction
and completion of said public improvement and fixing the 23rd
day of March, 1965 at the hour of 10:00 o'clock A.M. as the
date and hour for the opening of said bids; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine
that the date fixed for the opening of said sealed; proposals,
March 23rd, does not give the contractors sufficient time to
prepare their proposals on said public improvement, and that
the time for opening sealed proposals should, therefore, be
extended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that Resolution No. 65R -159 be and the
same is hereby amended by changing the date for the opening
of sealed proposals for the public improvement therein
described to March 30, 1965 at the hour of 10:00 o'clock A.M.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in all other respects
said Resolution No. 65R -159 be and remain in full force and
effect.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 9th day of March, 1965.
