RESOLUTION NO. 651:- 95
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE UTILITIES DIRECTOR
TO SIGN AND FILE AN APPLICATION TO APPROPRIATE
UNAPPROPRIATED WATER.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim intends to construct the
Walnut Canyon Reservoir; and
WHEREAS, construction of said reservoir will result
in storage of waters derived from rainfall; and
WHEREAS, a permit to appropriate unappropriated water
must be obtained prior to appropriation of water; and
WHEREAS, such an application was signed and filed on
June 24, 1964 by George Oelkers, the Utilities Director of the
City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, Title 23, California Administrative Code,
Section 671(e) requires such application to be signed by a
duly authorized official.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the Utilities Director of the City
of Anaheim be, and he is hereby authorized to sign and file an
application with the State Water Rights Board to appropriate
unappropriated water in connection with construction of the
Walnut Canyon Reservoir.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that such authorization be,
and is hereby made retroactive to and including June 24, 1964.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 9th day of February, 1965.
