1965-081WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit on the 12th day of
January, 1965, the City Council of the City of Anaheim adopted
Resolution No. 65R -20 finding and determining that public con-
venience and necessity required the removal of trees on State
College Boulevard from Ball Road to Wagner Avenue, in the City
of Anaheim, Job No. 922; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize and direct
the City Clerk to publish a notice according to law, inviting
sealed proposals for the furnishing of all plant, labor, ser-
vices, materials and equipment, and all utilities and trans-
portation, including power, fuel and water, and performing all
work necessary to construct and complete, in a good and work-
manlike manner the said public improvement, and did fix the
28th day of January, 1965, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M.
as the date and hour for the opening of bids; and
WHEREAS, only one bid was received by the City of
Anaheim at the Office of the City Clerk up to the hour of 2:00
o'clock P.M. on the 28th day of January,1965 in response to
the notice published by the City Clerk on January 14th and
21st, 1965; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said bid is in
excess of the estimate of the City Engineer of the cost of
said public improvement, and that said bid should be rejected.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that all bids received at the Office
of the City Clerk up to the hour designated, in response to
the notice published inviting sealed proposals for the
removal of trees on State College Boulevard from Ball Road
to Wagner Avenue, in the City of Anaheim, Job No. 922, be,
and the same are hereby rejected.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 2nd day of February, 1965.
