A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC CON-
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO WIT:
THE IMPROVEMENT OF SEQUOIA AVENUE, FROM BROOKHURST
STREET TO APPROXIMATELY 150 FEET EAST OF SIESTA
STREET IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM JOB NO 926
PPRO'ING THE DESIGNS, PL S, PROFILES, D'•WINGS
AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC IM-
PROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
construction and completion of a public improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit
The Improvement of Sequoia Avenue, from Brookhurst
Street to approximately 150 feet east of Siesta
Street, in the City of Anaheim, consisting of exca-
vation, including haulaway, disposal and import
borrow; construction of asphalt concrete pavement,
aggregate base, Portland Cement Concrete curb and
gutter, sidewalk and driveways; adjustment of
manholes to grade, and appurtenant work as more
particularly set forth in the plans and specifi-
cations on file in the Office of the City Clerk or
City Engineer, Job No. 926.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed the Public

p ans, pro i es, urawings an specifications, and estimates of
quantities and costs and make necessary surveys for the con-
struction of said public improvement; and
WHEREAS, said e t has
prepared said detailed esigns, p: ans, pro es, urawings and
specifications for the construction of said public improvement
and has submitted the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement above mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practice and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and resi-
dents in said area for the purposes for which they are intended,
and that they are adequate for the construction of said public
improvement and should be approved.
NOW THEREFCRE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans,
profiles, drawings and specifications for said public improve-
ment hereinabov i ic• red anc described, be nd the same
are hereby, approved and adopted s prepared by said Public
Works De•artment
AN BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improve-
ment shall be constrct ed in accordance with said detailed
design, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as
prepared by said. Public Works De artment and hereby
approved, and such addeinaa or modi is ations thereto as may be
approved prior to the awerdirg of bids therefor.
RE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized •:nd directed
to publish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals
for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all utilities, and transp rtation, including
power, fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to
construct and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in
strict accordance with said detailed designs, plans, profiles,
dra wings rnd specifications as prepared by said Pub Liq Works

Council Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and

publications shall be at least ten (10) days prior to the date
fixed for the cpen�ing of bids, and that said public Lions
shall be at least five (5) days apart
AND RE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful
bidder or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract
with the City of Anaheim le ±r° e manner and form approved by
the City Attorney of the Z.ity of Anaheim for the construction,
installation and comp1et ior, of said public improvement herein
above mentioned and described, in accordance with the plans
and specifications prepared by said
the notice inviting sealed proposals, this reso._ution ans al
applicable City Ordinances or Cc de Sections :and the 1 w of the
State of California, and shall be required to post bonds and
insurance in the amoupAs and within the time required by law,
as specified in the notice in it ing sealed proposals, and in
a form approved by the City Attorney.
