RESOLUTION NO. 65R- 518
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF AN AGREEMENT AMENDING THAT CERTAIN AGREE-
MENT ENTERED INTO AS OF JULY 1, 1964 BETWEEN
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND ANAHEIM AREA VISITOR
AND CONVENTION BUREAU.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and Anaheim Area Visitor
and Convention Bureau entered into an agreement dated July 1,
1964 wherein the City paid said Bureau to perform certain
advertising and promotion of the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, both the City and Anaheim Area Visitor and
Convention Bureau have found that the agreement has been satis-
factory and beneficial to bon' parties; and
WHEREAS, an increase in the funds allocated in the
1964-65 fiscal f ear to perform said advertising and promotion
is necessary because the activities of said Bureau have been
increased, due to the contemplated construction of a convention
center; and
WHEREAS, the parties to said agreement desire to amend
the same to provide for an increase in the amount to be paid
to Anaheim Area Visitor and Convention Bureau to be used for
advertising and promotional purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that an agreement amending the agreement
entered into as of July 1, 1964 between the City of Anaheim
and Anaheim Area Visitor and Convention Bureau, be made and
entered into between the parties thereto providing substantially
as follows:
That the amount set forth in Paragraph 2 of said agree-
ment entered into between the City and said Bureau on
July 1, 1964, shall be modified and changed from $27,000.00
to $34,000.00.
BE IT FUaTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized to execute said agreement
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 6th day of July, 1965.
