AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC IM-
PROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
construction and completion of a public improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit
The Nohl Canyon Road Sewer Improvement, consisting
of the construction of a 4 -inch and 6 -inch V.C.P.
sewer line and a 4 -inch V.C.P. cleanout in Nohl
Canyon Road, from the Reservoir Control House to
approximately 345 feet west thereof, in the City of
Anaheim, including excavation, trenching, backfill
and flooding, resurfacing with 3 inches of A.C.
pavement, and appurtenant work as more particularly
set forth in the plans and specifications on file
in the Office of the City Clerk or City Engineer,
Work Order No. 1843.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed the u 1'c
Works De.artment to prepare detailed esigns,
p ans, pro es, urawings an specifications, and estimates of
quantities and costs and make necessary surveys for the con-
struction of said public improvement; and

WHEREAS, said Public_Works has
prepared said detailed dsigns, pans, pro 1 es, •raw ngs and
specifications for the construction of said public improvement
and has submitted the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement above mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practice and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and resi-
dents in said area for the purposes for which they are intended,
and that they are adequate for the construction of said public
improvement and should be approved.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim tgat the detailed designs, plans,
profiles, drawings and specifications for said public improve-
ment hereinabove men ic ed. ..nd described, be and the same
are hereby, apprcved and adopted as prep red by said Public
Works De artment

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improve-

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized nd directed
to publish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals
for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including
power, fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to
construct and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in
strict accordance with said detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specifications as prepared by said Public

that said notice shall be published twice, the first of which
publications shall be t least ten (10) days prior to the date
fixed for the opening of bids, and that said publications

AND BE IT RAM ER RESOLVED that the successful
bidder or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract
with the City of Anaheim in H the spanner and form approved by
the City Attorney of the City of An heim for the construction,
installation and completion of said public improvement herein
above mentioned and described, in accordance with the plans
and specifications prepared by said Public Works De artment
the notice inviting sealed proposals, this reso ution an al
applicable City Ordinances or Code Sections and the l ws of the
State of California, and shall be required to post bonds and
insurance in the amounts and within the time required by law,
as specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals, and in
a form approved by the City Attorney.
