A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
AMENDMENT OF JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, this City Council on March 16, 1965, adopted
a resolution approving a Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement,
pursuant to provisions of Article 1, Chapter 5, Division 7,
Title 1 of the Government Code of the State of California,
dated March 1, 1965, between the City of Anaheim and the
Anaheim Union High School District creating a Community Center
Authority to construct, maintain, operate and lease buildings,
auditoriums or other exhibition buildings for educational and
public purposes, including buildings for holding sporting
events, athletic contests, exhibitions, for community recreation,
and for public meetings; and
WHEREAS, it is proposed to amend said Joint Exercise of
Powers Agreement by amending those sections of said Agreement
pertaining to the lease and operation of the convention center
and auditorium by the City; and
WHEREAS, a form of said Amendment of Joint Exercise
of Powers Agreement, dated as of June 1, 1965, has been presented
by the City Attorney to this City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the proposed Amendment of Joint
Exercise of Powers Agreement, dated as of June 1, 1965, in sub-
stantially the form presented to this City Council by the City
Attorney be and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor be, and he
hereby is, authorized to execute said Amendment of Joint Exercise
of Powers Agreement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim
and the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim be, and she hereby is,
authorized and instructed to seal and attest the same.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 22nd day of June, 1965.
