AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC IM-
PROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE Wl :TH SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
construction and completion of a public improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
The improvement of Dowling Avenue, from Crowther Avenue to
Miraloma Avenue, in the City of Anaheim, consisting of
clearing and grubbing, excavation, including embankment,
haulaway and disposal, import borrow, removal of existing
highway facilities; construction of asphalt concrete pave-
ment, aggregate base, 36, 24 and 12 -inch R.C.P., standard
No. 2 manhole, standard No. 1 catch basins, No. 4 junction
structures, catch basin connection, standard P.C.C. collars,
P.C.C. curb curb and gutter, P.C.C. driveway, sidewalk,
and steps, 10" x 36" R.C.B., 6' P.C.C. cross- gutter, 16"
P.C.C. irrigation line, 16" transitesewer pipe, 42" and 30"
P.C.C. standpipes, 8" P.C.C. breather, 12" transite sewer
pipe, 12" P.C.C. irrigation line, center line monuments,
12' C.M.P. standard beam guardrail, A.C. berm, application
of prime coat; relocation of 36" R.C.P.; installation of
salvaged 18" C.M.P.; sheeting for 24" and 36" R.C.P.; instal-
lation of paddle boards; adjustment of water valve boxes and
manholes to grade, and appurtenant work as more particularly
set forth in the plans and specifications on file in the
Office of the City Clerk or City Engineer, Project No. 116.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed the Public
Works De.artment to prepare detailed 3esigns,
p ans, pro 1 es, •ravings an specifications, and estimates of
quantities and costs and make necessary surveys for the con-
struction of said public improvement; and
WHEREAS, said Public Works Department has
prepared said detailed esigns, p ans, pro es, ravings and
specifications for the construction of said public improvement
and has submitted the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement above mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practice and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and resi-
dents in said area for the purposes for which they are intended,
and that they are adequate for the construction of said public
improvement and should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans,
profiles, drawings and specifications for s,. id public improve-
ment hereinabove mentioned ,,nd described, be, and the same
are hereby, approved and adopted as prepared by said Public
Works Department
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVE* th;.!t said public improve-
ment sh11 be constructed in accordance with said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as
prepared by said Public Works De artment and hereby
approved, and such addenda or modi is t ons thereto as may be
approved prior to the awarding of bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized nd directed
to publish a notice according to 1.w, inviting sealed proposals
for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all utilities and tr..nsportation, including
power, fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to
construct and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in
strict accordance with said detailed designs, plans profiles,
drawings nd specifications as prepared by said Public Works
Department the public improvement hereinabove

Jul 19 65 at the hour of 2g00 o'clock P.M. as
t e ate an our cue opening of said bids t the City
Council Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and
that s yid notice shall be published twice, the first of which
publications shall, be t least. ten (10) days prior to the date
fixed for the opening of bids, and that said•public tions
shall be at least five (5) days ..part.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful
bidder or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract
with the City of Anaheim in the manner and form approved by
the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the construction,
installation and completion of said public improvement herein
above mentioned and described, in accordance with the plans
and specifications prepared by said Public Works De artment
the notice inviting sealed proposals, this reso ution an a
applicable City Ordinances or Code Sections and the laws of the
State of California, and shall be required to post bonds and
insurance in the amounts and within the time required by law,
as specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals, and in
a form approved by the City Attorney.
