A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC CON-
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT TO WIT:
MODIFICATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT INTERSECTION
L 'S D ND HARBOR BOULEVARD, IN THE CITY
OF HEIM PROJECT NO. 146A UNIT
PRO I_' THE DESIGN PL S, PROFILES, D'•WINGS
AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC IM-
PROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
construction and completion of a public improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
Modification of traffic signals at the intersection
of Bali Road and Harbor Boulevard, in the City of
Anaheim, and appurtenant work as more particularly
set forth in the plans and specifications on
file in the Office of the City Clerk or City
Engineer, Project No. 146A, Unit 5.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed the Public
Works De artment to prepare detailed Migns,
pans, pro es, r an specifications, and estimates of
quantities and costs and make necessary surveys for the con-
struction of said public improvement; and
WHEREAS, said Public Works De.artment has
prepared said detailed *esi.gns, p ans, pro es, urawings and
specifications for the construction of said public improvement
and has submitted the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement above mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practice and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and resi-
dents in said area for the purposes for which they are intended,
and that they are adequate for the construction of said public
improvement and should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim taat the detailed designs, plans,
profiles, drawings and specifications for said public improve-
ment hereiraabove ¶etioned and described, be, and the same
are hereby, approved and adopted as prepared by said Public
Works De artment
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improve-
ment sh, 11 be constrec'ted in accordance with said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as
prep red by said Public Works De artment and hereby
approved, and such adder a or modificat ons thereto as may be
approved prior to the awarding of bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED th: the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized nd directed
to publish a notice according to 1 ;w, inviting sealed proposals
for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment and all utilities and transportation, including
power, fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to
construct and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in
strict accord nee with said detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings ,;nd specifications as prepared by said Public
Works De artment the public improvement herein bove
mentioned a escr and fixing the 8th day of
Jul 19 65 at the hour of 2,00 o'clock P.M. as
the do to an Derr car t e opet ing of said bids t the City
Council Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and
that slid n..otice shall be published twice, the first of which
publications shall be at least ten (10) days prior to the date
fixed for the opening of bids, and that said public:
shall be at least five (5) days apart
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful
bidder or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract
with the City of Anaheim in the mannn and form approved by
the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the construction,
installation and comp1et,ior of said public improvement herein
above mentioned and described, in accordance with the plans
and specifications prepared by said Public Works De artment
the notice inviting sealed proposals, this reso ution an all
applicable City Ordinances or Cede Sections ::nd the 1 ws of the
State of California, and shall be required to post bonds and
insurance in the amouet s and within the time required by law,
as specified in the notice, irefiting sealed proposals, and in
a form approved by the City Attorney.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 15th day of June 19 65
