A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXE-
CUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AND ANAHEIM UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT,
WITH REFERENCE TO THE PAVING OF A PORTION OF
WAGNER STREET.
WHEREAS, Anaheim Union High School District is con-
structing a new high school located at 2200 East Wagner Street
in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the school is to be financed with State Aid
funds, and Anaheim Union High School District is not able to pay
for any paving to exceed the width of 18 ft.,including a deduction
for existing paving; and
WHEREAS, Anaheim Union High School District's share of
paving on Wagner Street bordering the school is 7,938 square feet
of asphaltic concrete (all grading, curbs, gutters, sidewalks,
driveways and 5 -foot minimum skin coat included); and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim's share of paving on
Wagner Street is 15,660 square feet of asphaltic concrete; and
WHEREAS, the City and said School District desire to
enter into an agreement which will provide that the City of
Anaheim shall let the contract for all the paving, and that the
School District shall reimburse the City for its share; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Union High School District has
tendered to the City an agreement to be made and entered into
between the City and said School District providing for the con-
struction of said street improvements on Wagner Street, the
terms and conditions of which the City Council finds would be
for the benefit and best interest of the citizens and residents
of the City and should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the agreement tendered to the City by
Anaheim Union High School to be made and entered into between
the City and said School District, providing for the letting of
a contract by the City for the construction of street improve-
ments on Wagner Street for all work shown on the approved plans,
and for reimbursement by said School District of its share of
said paving, upon the terms and conditions set forth in said
agreement, be, and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby authorized to execute said agreement for
and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 18th day of May, 1965.
