RESOLUTION NO. 6 5R 57
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXE-
CUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AND THE ANAHEIM UNION HIGH SCHOOL
DISTRICT WITH REFERENCE TO THE IMPROVEMENT
OF A PORTION OF SEQUOIA AVENUE.
WHEREAS, it is the mutual desire of the City of
Anaheim and the Anaheim Union High School District to improve
that portion of Sequoia Avenue in the City of Anaheim abutting
the Brookhurst Junior High School District; and
WHEREAS, the City and said School District desire to
enter into an agreement providing for the construction of said
improvements on Sequoia Avenue and for payment therefor; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Union High School District has
tendered to the City an agreement to be made and entered into
between the City of Anaheim and said School District providing
for the improvement of said avenue, the terms and conditions
of which the City Council finds would be for the benefit and
best interest of the citizens and residents of the City and
should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the agreement submitted to the
City by Anaheim Union High School District to be made and
entered into by and between the City and said School District,
providing for the construction of the improvement of that
portion of Sequoia Avenue abutting Brookhurst Junior High
School by the City, upon the terms and conditions set forth
in said agreement, and for the payment by said School District
to the City of the sum of $2,354.55 in satisfaction of said
District's financial obligation for said work of improvement,
be and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby authorized to execute said agreement
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 11th day of May, 1965.
