A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF A CANCELLATION OF A LEASE DATED FEBRUARY
25, 1959 BY AND BETWEEN ANNA ZAHL AND WRATHER
HOTELS, INC.
WHEREAS, Anna Zahl and Wrather Hotels, Inc. did on
the 25th day of February, 1959 enter into a Lease and Option
Agreement covering certain real property owned by Anna Zahl
in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California,
being a portion of Section 27, Township 4 South, Range 10 West,
S.B.B. M., together with an interest in a portion of Section
22, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B. M., all as more
fully set forth in the Lease and Option Agreement dated
February 25, 1959; and
WHEREAS, by mesne assignment from Wrather Hotels, Inc.
and Walt Disney Productions, successor by merger to Disneyland,
Inc., the City of Anaheim became assignor under said Lease and
Option Agreement; and
WHEREAS, Anna Zahl and the City of Anaheim have entered
into a Lease and Option Agreement covering the same property,
said Lease and Option Agreement being dated February 25, 1965;
and
WHEREAS, to give full force and effect to said Lease
and Option Agreement dated February 25, 1965, it is to the best
interests of the City of Anaheim, in its capacity as Assignee
and Anna Zahl, in her capacity as Lessor, to cancel the Lease
and Option Agreement dated February 25, 1959 by and between
Anna Zahl and Wrather Hotels, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that its Mayor Pro Tem and its City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute for
and on behalf of the City of Anaheim that certain Cancellation
of Lease dated the 4th day of May, 1965.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and
she is hereby authorized and directed to cause said Cancellation
of Lease to be recorded in the Office of the County Recorder of
Orange County, California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 4th day of May, 1965.
