A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AN AMENDMENT
TO THE GENERAL PLAN DESIGNATED AS AMEND-
MENT NO. 53.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did hold a public hearing to consider an amendment to
the Circulation Element of the Streets and Highways on the
General Plan by changing that portion of Richfield Road lying
southerly of Walnut Street and Easterly of Jefferson Street,
from its present designation as a collector street, to a local
street, and at said hearing did receive evidence and reports
from persons interested therein; and
WHEREAS, following said hearing thereon the Planning
Commission did duly adopt a resolution containing a report of
its findings, a summary of the evidence presented at said hear-
ing, and a recommendation that said amendment to the General
Plan, designated as Amendment No. 53, be adopted by the City
Council; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said resolution, summary of
evidence, report of findings, and recommendation of the City
Planning Commission, the City Council did fix the 4th day of
May, 1965, as the time and the Council Chamber in the City
Hall of the City of Anaheim as the place for a public hearing
upon said proposed Amendment No. 53 to the General Plan and
did give notice thereof in the manner and as provided by law;
and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such public
hearing and did give all persons interested therein an oppor-
tunity to be heard and did receive evidence and reports and did
thereupon consider the recommendations of the City Planning
Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
Amendment No. 53 to the General Plan, amending the Circulation
Element of the Streets and Highways on said General Plan by
changing that portion of Richfield Road lying southerly of
Walnut Street and easterly of Jefferson Street from a collector
street to a local street, should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that Amendment No. 53 to the General Plan,
amending the Circulation Element of the Streets and Highways on
said General Plan by changing that portion of Richfield Road
lying southerly of Walnut Street and easterly of Jefferson
Street from a collector street to a local street, be, and the
same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Department
be, and it is hereby instructed, to amend the General Plan Map
to conform to General Plan Amendment No. 53 herein approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does
hereby recommend to the Orange County Planning Commission that
that portion of Richfield Road lying southerly of Walnut Street
and easterly of Jefferson Street be deleted from the Orange
County Master Plan of Streets and Highways as a collector street.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 4th day of May, 1965.
