RESOLUTION NO. 65R -297
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AN AMENDMENT
TO THE GENERAL PLAN DESIGNATED AS AMEND-
MENT NO. 55.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did hold a public hearing to consider an amendment to
the Circulation Element of the Streets and Highways on the
General Plan by changing Jefferson -Linda Vista Street (regard-
less of the precise alignment) between Orangethorpe Avenue and the
Riverside Freeway, from its present designation as a Primary High-
way to a Major Highway, and at said hearing did receive evidence
and reports from persons interested therein; and
WHEREAS, following said hearing thereon the Planning
Commission did duly adopt a resolution containing a report of its
findings, a summary of the evidence presented at said hearing, and
a recommendation that said amendment to the General Plan, desig-
nated as Amendment No. 55, be adopted by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said resolution, summary of
evidence, report of findings, and recommendation of the City
Planning Commission, the City Council did fix the 27th day of
April, 1965, as the time and the Council Chamber in the City Hall
of the City of Anaheim as the place for a public hearing upon
said proposed Amendment No. 55 to the General Plan and did give
notice thereof in the manner and as provided by law; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such public
hearing and did give all persons interested therein an oppor-
tunity to be heard and did receive evidence and reports and did
thereupon consider the recommendations of the City Planning
Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
Amendment No. 55 to the General Plan, amending the Circulation
Element of the Streets and Highways on said General Plan by
changing Jefferson -Linda Vista Street, between Orangethorpe Ave-
nue and the Riverside Freeway, from a Primary Highway to a Major
Highway, should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that Amendment No. 55 to the General Plan,
amending the Circulation Element of the Streets and Highways on
said General Plan by changing Jefferson -Linda Vista Street,
between Orangethorpe Avenue and the Riverside Freeway from a
Primary Highway to a Major Highway, be, and the same is hereby
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Department be,
and it is hereby instructed, to amend the General Plan Map to con-
form to General Plan Amendment No. 55 herein approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does here-
by recommend to the Orange County Planning Commission that Jeffer-
son -Linda Vista Street, between Orangethorpe Avenue and the
Riverside Freeway, be changed on the Orange County Master Plan of
Streets and Highways from its present classification as a Primary
Highway to a Major Highway.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
