A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING AN EASEMENT FOR
PUBLIC HIGHWAY PURPOSES UPON AND ACROSS
CERTAIN PROPERTY OF LOS ANGELES SALT LAKE
RAILROAD COMPANY AND ITS LESSEE, UNION
PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY, AND APPROVING
AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREE-
MENT GRANTING SAID EASEMENT.
WHEREAS, the Los Angeles Salt Lake Railroad Com-
pany and its Lessee, Union Pacific Railroad Company, Utah
corporations, have tendered to the City of Anaheim an agree-
ment, granting to the City, subject to the reservations,
covenants and conditions therein contained, an easement
for the construction, operation and maintenance of a public
highway upon and across that portion of the right of way
of said Railroad Companies more particularly hereinafter
described; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said agree-
ment submitted to the City by said Railroad Companies to
be made and entered into between the City and the Los
Angeles Salt Lake Railroad Company and its Lessee, Union
Pacific Railroad, would be for the benefit and best interest
of the City and should be approved and accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the agreement tendered to the
City of Anaheim by the Los Angeles Salt Lake Railroad Com-
pany and its Lessee, Union Pacific Railroad Company, Utah
corporations, granting to the City subject to the reserva-
tions, covenants and conditions therein contained, an ease-
ment for the construction, operation and maintenance of a
public highway upon and across that portion of the right
of way of said Railroad Companies more particularly described
as follows:
Those two parcels of land, situate in the City
of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California,
more particularly described as follows:
PARCEL NO. 1:
That portion of the South 15 acres of the SE 1/4
of the SE 1/4 of Section 3, T. 4 S., R. 10 W.,
S.B.B.& M. described in deed to Los Angeles Salt
Lake Railroad Company, recorded in Book 299, page
395 of Deeds, records of said County, lying southerly
of a line, parallel with and distant northerly,
53.00 feet, measured at right angles from the
south line of said SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section
3, and lying easterly of a line, parallel with and
distant 70.00 feet westerly, measured at right
angles from the westerly line of that certain 100
foot strip of land described in deed to California
Central Railway Co., recorded in Book 6098, pages
393 to 398, both inclusive, records of said County.
be, and the same is hereby, approved and accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said agreement
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Finance Director be,
and he is hereby, authorized to pay to said Los Angeles
Salt Lake Railroad Company and its Lessee, Union Pacific Rail-
road Company, the sum of $10.00, consideration for said easement.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this lath day of A 1965.

That portion of those certain parcels of land
conveyed to Los Angeles Salt Lake Railroad
Company by deed recorded in Book 308, page 257 of
Deeds, and by deed recorded in Book 592, page 248
of Deeds, records of said County, lying northerly
of a line, parallel with and distant southerly,
53.00 feet, measured at right angles from the
South line of said Section 3.

Anaheim, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
No. 65R -283 was introduced and adopted at a regular
meeting provided by law, of the City Council of the City
of Anaheim, held on the 13th day of April, 1965, by the
following vote of the members thereof:

NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City
of Anaheim approved and signed said Resolution No. 65R -283
on the 13th day of April, 1965.
