A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEI.M FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC CON
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO WIT:

AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC IM-
PROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
construction and completion of a public improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
Modification of traffic signals and safety
lighting at the intersection of Ball Road
and Knott Avenue, in the City of Anaheim,
and appurtenant work as more particularly
set forth in the plans and specifications
on file in the Office of the City Clerk or
City Engineer, Project No. 146A, Unit 4.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed the Public
Works De artment to prepare detailed designs,
pans, pro i es, rawings
and specifications, and estimates of
quantities and costs and make necessary surveys for the con-
struction of said public improvement; and
WHEREAS, said Public Works De•artment has
prepared said detailed resigns, p ans, pro. es, .rawings and
specifications for the construction of said public improvement
and has submitted the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement above mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practice and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and resi-
dents in said area for the purposes for which they are intended,
and that they are adequate for the construction of said public
improvement and should be approved.
NOW THERE'FCRE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans,
profiles, drawings and specifications for said public improve-
ment hereinabove me t r d d- scribed, be nd the same
are hereby, approved and adopted as prepared by said Public
Works De artment
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improve-
ment shall be constri.Leted in accordance with said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as
prep red by said Public Works De artment and hereby
approved, and suchh aWIehda or modificat ons thereto as may be
approved prior to the awarding of bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized nd directed
to publish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals
for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, ,.nd all utilities and tr,:.nsportation, including
power, fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to
construct and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in
strict acccord: with said detailed designs, planns, profiles,
dr: wings and specifications as prepared by said Public
Works De artment the public improvement Fiereinabove
mentioned, and escri ed, and fixing the 6th day of
Ma 19 65 at the hour of 2 :00 o'clock P.M. as
t e ate an oeir c7r t e opening of said bids t the City
Council Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and
that said notice shall he published twice, the first of which
publications shall be at least ten (10) days prior to the date
fixed for the opening of bids, and that said public tions
sh.11 be at least five (5) days apart
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful
bidder or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract
with the City of Anaheim In the manner and form approved by
the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the construction,
installation and completion of said public improvement herein
above .,1entioned and described, in accordance with the plans
and specifications prep r d by said Public Works De artment
the notice :inviting .sealed proposals, this reso cation an al
applicable City Ordinanres or Ccde Sections and the 1 w of the
State of California, and shall be required to post bonds and
insurance in the arouets ar 4ithin the time required by law,
as specified in the notice, iry ing sealed proposals, and in
a form approved by the City Attorney.
THE FOREGOINC RESOLIJTION is approved and signed by me
this 13th day of April 19 65

law, of the City Council of the City of Anaheim, held on the
13th day of April, 1965, by the following vote of the members
thereof:

ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
Anaheim approved and signed said Resolution No. 65R -281 on
the 13th day of April, 1965.
