A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC CON
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO WIT:
IMPROVEMENT OF THE GEORGE HANSEN COMMUNITY PARK
AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF CRESCENT AND GREEN
ACRF.__AyEN05, IN THE CITY OF ANAM, JOB
NO. 789 -A.
APPROVING THE iE IGN P S, PROFILE D WINGS
AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC IM-
PROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WI :TH SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
construction and completion of a public improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
The Improvement of the George Hansen Community
Park at the northeast corner of Cresent and
Greenacre Avenues, in the City of Anaheim,
consisting of grading and earthwork, and
appurtenant work as more particularly set forth
in the plans and specifications on file in the
Office of the City Clerk or City Engineer,
Job No. 789 -A.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed the Public
Works De.artment to prepare detailed Tesigns,
p ans, pro ies, rawings an specifications, and estimates of
quantities and costs and make necessary surveys for the con-
struction of said public improvement; and
WHEREAS, said Public Works Department has
prepared said detailed esigns, p ans, pro es, .rawings and
specifications for the construction of said public improvement
and has submitted the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement above mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practice and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and resi-
dents in said area for the purposes for which they are intended,
and that they are adequate for the construction of said public
improvement and should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Ananzim that the detailed designs, plans,
profiles, drawings nd specifications for said public improve-
ment hereina,bove me, *:icn ed nd described, be, and the same
are hereby, approved and adopted as prepared by said Public
Works De artment

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improve-
ment sh,a11 be cor strranL ed it accordance with said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as
prep red by said Public Works De artment and hereby
approved, and such addenda or modificat ons thereto as may be
approved prior to the awarding of bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED thtt the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized nd directed
to publish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals
for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all utilities and tr nsportation, including
power, fuel and water, and perfcrmi;g all work necessary to
construct and complete, in a goad and workmanlike manner, in
strict accord nce with said detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specifications as pr pared by said Public
Works De artment the public improvement Fiereinabove
mentioned an desribed, and fixing the 6th day of
May 19 65 at the hour of clock P.M. as
t e ate r oair fl -FEe opening of said bids at the City
Council Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and
that said notice sba11 be published twice, the first of which
publicati ns shall be at least. ten (1,0) days prior to the date
fixed fcr the cpening of bids, and that said publications
sh 11 be at least five (5) days apart.
AND BE IT FURT R RESOLVED that the successful
bidder or bidders shall: be required to enter into a contract
with the City of Anaheim i n the manner and form approved by
the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the construction,
installation and completion, of said public improvement herein
above mentioned and described, in accordance with the plans
and specifications prpared by said Public Works De artment
the notice inviting sealed proposals, this reso ution an al
applicable City Ordinances or Cede Sections and the 1 w of the
State of California, and shall,, be required to post bonds and
insurance in the, amounts and within the time required by law,
as specified in to e; notice inviting sealed proposals, and in
a form approved by the City Attnrney.
