A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
EASEMENT DEED GRANTING TO THE COUNTY OF ORANGE
A PERPETUAL EASEMENT AND RIGHT OF WAY FOR
STREET AND HIGHWAY PURPOSES OVER THE REAL
PROPERTY HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and the County of Orange
did enter into an agreement approved by the City Council on
August 24, 1965, with reference to the combined construction of
portions of Orangewood Avenue, wherein it was provided, among
other things, that the County would acquire the necessary
rights of way for its portion of the project; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the County acquire an
easement and right of way over the hereinafter described prop-
erty owned by the City for the construction of its portion of
said roadway.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and
they are hereby authorized and directed to make, execute and
deliver to the County of Orange a good and sufficient easement
deed granting to the County of Orange a perpetual easement and
right of way for street and highway purposes in, on and over
the following described real property situated in the County of
Orange, State of California, to wit:
That portion of the land allotted to Alfred B. Chapman
in Decree of Partition of the Rancho Santiago de Santa
Ana recorded in Book "B" of Judicial District Court of
California, in the County of Orange, State of California,
which lies within the lines of the land described in
Parcel 2 of a deed to the City of Anaheim, recorded in
Book 7182, Page 9, Official Records of said County, and
which also lies within a strip of land 100 feet wide,
the center line of which is described as follows:
Beginning at the center line intersection of State College
Boulevard with Orangewood Avenue as said center lines are
shown on a Record of Survey map filed in Book 72, Page 18,
Records of said County; thence East, along said center
line of Orangewood Avenue, 1818.94 feet to a tangent curve
concave Southerly and having a radius of 1200.00 feet;
thence Easterly along said curve through a central
angle of 19 13' 24" an arc distance of 402.61 feet to
a tangent reverse curve concave Northerly and having a
radius of 1200 feet; thence Easterly along said curve
through a central angle of 19 17' 16" an arc distance of
403.96 feet to the tangent intersection with the Westerly
prolongation of the Southerly line of the land described
in a deed recorded in Book 869, Page 324 Official
Records of said County; thence N. 89 56' 08" E., along
said prolongation and Southerly line, 2083.52 feet to the
center line of Eckhoff Street as per Record of Survey map
filed in Book 47 Page 28, Records of said County; thence
continuing N. 89 56 08" E., 50.00 feet to a tangent
curve concave Southwesterly and having a radius of 1000
feet; thence Southeasterly along said curve through a
central angle of 31 59' 17" an arc distance of 558.30
feet to a tangent reverse curve concave Northeasterly
and having a radius of 1000 feet; thence Southeasterly
along said curve through a central angle of 31 36' 47"
an arc distance of 551.75 feet to the tangent inter-
section with the Westerly prolongation of the South line
of the land described in a deed recorded in Book 4981,
Page 386, Official Records of said County as said South
line is shown on said map filed in Record of Survey
Book 47, Page 28; thence, S. 89 41' 22" E., along said
prolongation and South line, 1089.90 feet to the center
line of Main Street.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion lying Westerly of the
Easterly boundary line of the City of Anaheim as
described in City Ordinance No. 1119 dated March 29,
1957.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 5th day of October, 1965.
