Arm SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC IM-
PROVEMENT TN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS, SPECI
FICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERIC TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
construction and completion of a public improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit
The Katella Avenue Sewer Improvement, consisting of the
construction of an 8 -inch V.C.P. sewer line in Katella
Avenue, from approximately 970 feet east of the center
line of West Street to approximately 1524 feet east of
the center line of West Street, in the City of Anaheim,
including construction of 4 and 5 -foot I.D. manholes,
removing and replacing type "D" curb, tight sheeting
and A.C. resurfacing, and appurtenant work as more
particularly set forth in the plans and specifications
on file in the Office of the City Clerk or City Engineer,
Job No. 1295.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed the Public
Works De artment to prepare detailed Te gns,
pens, pro i es, swings a it specifications, and estimates of
quantities and costs and make necessary surveys for the con-
struction of said public improvement; and
WHEREAS, said Public worksDe artment has
prepared said detailed reigns, plans, pro fil. es, awings and
specifications for the construction of said public improvement
and has submitted the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement above mentioned, are in accordance with good
er gintering practice and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and resi-
dents in said area for the purposes for which they are intended,
and that they are adequate for the construction of said public
inaprov&rnent and should be approved.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans,
profiles, drawings and specifications for s. id public improve-
ment hereinabcve men ic ed and described, be and the same
are hereby, approved and adopted as prepared by said Public
Works De artment o 0
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improve-
ment sh 11 be constre ted in accordance with said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as
prepared by said Public Works De artment and hereby
pproved, and such addenda or modifc,.t ons thereto as may be
approved, prier to t ne awerding of bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized nd directed
to publish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals
for the .furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all utilities a.r tr including
power, fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to
construct and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in
strict accord nce with said detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specifications as prepared by said Public Works
De artment the public improvement hereinbove
escri ed, and fixing the 21st (1 of
19 65 at the hour of 2“0O o'clock P.M. as
t e ate an o°ar 677 opening of said bids at the City
Council Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and
that said notice small be published twice, the first of which
publications shall be at ten (10) days prior t•- the date
fixed for the opening of bids, and that said publications
sh 11 be at least five (5) days apart.
AND BE IT F RTFIER RESOLVED that the successful
bidder or bidders shall be required to water into a contract
with the City of Anaheim 1 r the manner: and form approved by
the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the construction,
inst llation and completion of said public improvement herein
above entioned and described, in aceordance with the plans
and specifications prepared by said Public Works De artment
the notice inviting sealed proposals, this reso ution an all
applicable City Ordinances or C ode Sections :rnd the 1 ws of the
State of California, and shall be required to post bonds and
insurance in the amounts and within the time required by law,
as specified in the notice in icing sealed proposals, and in
a form approved by the City Attorney.

AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
