A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A GRANT DEED FOR ACCESS
RIGHTS AND DIRECTING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR
TO MAKE SAID PAYMENTS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does
find and determine that public interest and necessity require
the acquisition by the City of Anaheim of any and all vehicular
and pedestrian access rights to La Palma Avenue from the property
hereinafter described for the purpose of the construction of
grade separation of La Palma Avenue and the railroad crossing
near said property; and
WHEREAS, the owners of said described property and the
City of Anaheim through its agents have negotiated for acquisition
of said access rights by the City and have settled and agreed
upon a price to be paid by City and accepted by said owners, said
price being $8,500.00; and
WHEREAS, in connection with said settlement, it was
agreed and the City Council does hereby agree that the owners of
said property will be, and hereby are, relieved of any obligation
for the improvement or upkeep of La Palma Avenue and its right of
way as it abuts the property hereinafter described, so long as
the City retains and holds all access rights conveyed to City by
said owners.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it accepts a deed from WILLIAM D.
PRICHARD and RUTH B. PRICHARD, the owners of the property, dated
August 25, 1965, granting to the City of Anaheim any and all
vehicular and pedestrian access rights which said owners might
have for access on or to La Palma Avenue from or across the
following described property:
All that real property situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
That portion of Lot 45 of Anaheim Extension as shown on
a map of survey made by William Hamel in 1868 and filed
in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County,
California.
Beginning at a point in the Southerly line of said Lot
45 and in the Northerly line of North Street, distant
thereon South 74 50' 20" West 951.53 feet from the
Center Line of East Street and running thence North
15 09' 40" West at right angles to said Southerly line
of Lot 45, 356.07 feet to the Southerly line of La Palma
Avenue; thence South 89 56' 15" West along said Southerly
line, to the Easterly line of the right -of -way of the
Southern California Railway; thence South 15 09' 40"
East along said Easterly line 407.83 feet to the Southerly
line of said Lot 45; thence North 74 50' 20" East along
said Southerly line 180.00 feet to the point of beginning.
and the City Clerk be and she is hereby authorized and directed
to record said deed.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance
be and he hereby is authorized and directed to pay to WILLIAM
D. PRICHARD and RUTH B. PRICHARD the sum of $8,500.00 as full
and complete compensation for said conveyance.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 21st day of September 1965.
