A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM FINDING AND DEIERNINING THAT PUBLIC CON
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO WIT:
THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE PONDEROSA PARKSITE AT

AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC IM-
PROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
construction and completion of a public improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
The improvement of the Ponderosa Parksite, at the
southeast corner of Orangewood Avenue and Haster
Street, in the City of Anaheim, consisting of
removal and burning of orange trees; removal and
haulaway of eucalyptus trees and stumps; excava-
tion, including embankment and crushing of
irrigation line; removal of irrigation line, and
appurtenant work as more particularly set forth
in the plans and specifications on file in the
Office of the City Clerk or City Engineer,
Job No. 890 -A.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed the Public
Works De rtme t to prepare detailed esc�f�` s igns,
p ans, pro i es, •rawings an specifications, and estimates of
quantities and costs and make necessary surveys for the con-
struction of said public improvement; and
WHEREAS, said Public Works Department has
prepared said detailed e p ans, pro. es, raw�. and
specifications for the construction of said public improvement
and has submitted the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement above mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practice and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and resi-
dents in said area for the purposes for which they are intended,
and that they are adequate for the construction of said public
improvcment and should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans,
profiles, drawings and specifications for said public improve-
ment hereina.bove mentioned ;arid described, be, and the same
are hereby, approved and adopted as prep red by said Public
Works Department
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED th t said public improve-
ment sh 11 be constructed in accordance with said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as
prepared by s,:.id Public Works Department and hereby
approved, and such ,addenca or modi icat ons thereto as may be
approved prior to the awarding of bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED th;..t the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized nd directed
to publish a notice according to 1,w, inviting sealed proposals
for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, nd all utilities and tr'.aasportation, including
power, fuel and water and performing all work necessary to
construct and complete, is a good and workmanlike manner, in
strict accordance with said detailed designs, p1ns, profiles,
drawings sad specifications as prepared by said Public

Se tember 19 65 at the hour of 200 o'clock P.M. as

Council Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and
that said notice shall be published twice, the first of which
publications shall be at least ten (10) days prior to the date
fixed for the opening of bids, and that said public tions
shall be :'t least five (5) days .,part.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful
bidder or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract
with the City of Anaheim in the manner and form approved by
the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the construction,
installation and completion of said public improvement herein
above mentioned and described, in accordance with the plans
and specifications prepared by said Public Works De artment J

State of California, and shall be required to post bonds and
insurance in the and within the time required by law,
as specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals, and in
a form approved by the City Attorney.
