A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DIRECTING THAT APPLICATION BE MADE
TO THE STATE BOARD OF PUBLIC HEALTH FOR A PER-
MIT TO OPERATE AN 800 MILLION GALLON OPEN RESER-
VOIR AND FILTERING PLANT, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO SIGN SUCH APPLICATION.
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim
that pursuant and subject to all of the terms, conditions and
provisions of Division 5, Part 1, Chapter 7, Sections 4010 to
4035 of the California Health and Safety Code and all amendments
thereto, relating to domestic water supplies, application by
the City of Anaheim be made to the State Board of Public Health,
for a permit to operate an 800 million gallon open reservoir,
with a Hardinge Automatic Filtering Plant with the appurtenant
chlorinating equipment and 1/2 million gallon clear well
balancing tank. The source will be raw water from the Southern
California Metropolitan Water District out of the Santiago
Lateral. The area to be served will be the City of Anaheim
and the surrounding vicinity.
RESOLVED FURTHER that the Mayor of the City of Anaheim
be and he is hereby authorized and directed to cause the neces-
sary data to be prepared, and investigations to be made, and
in the name of said City of Anaheim to sign and file such appli-
cation with the State Board of Public Health.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 24th day of August, 1965.
