AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC IM-
PROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK, TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
construction and completion of a public improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit
The Orangewood Avenue Sewer Improvement, consisting of
the construction of 8 and 6 -inch V.C.P. sewer line in
Orangewood Avenue, from approximately 1819.28 feet east
of State College Boulevard to approximately 117.10 feet
east of State College Boulevard, in the City of Anaheim,
including trenching, backfill and flooding, construction
of stubs, plugs and manholes, and appurtenant work as
more particularly set forth in the plans and specifications
on file in the Office of the City Clerk or City Engineer,
Job No. 1293.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed the

pans, pros iles, drawings and specifications, and estimates of
quantities and costs and wake necessary surveys for the con
struction of said public improvement; and
WHEREAS, said has
prepared said detailed esigns, p:.ans, pro.i es, •ravings and
specifications for the construction of said public improvement
and has submitted the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement above mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practice and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and resi-
dents in said area for the purposes for which they are intended,
and that they are adequate for the construction of said public
i and should be approved
NOW, THEREFCRE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans,
profiles, drawings and specifications for said public improve-
ment hereinabove me-cloned and described, be and the same
are hereby, approved and adopted as prepared by said
Public Works De artment
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVE! th:.t said public improve-
ment sh,- 11 be cconstrue ted in accordance with said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as
prep red by said Public Works De artment and hereby
approved, and such addenda or modi ications thereto as may be
approved prior t. the awyarding of bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and :sure is hereby, authorized nd directed
to publish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals
for the furnishing of all plaint, labor, services, materials and
equipment, nd all utilities and tr;.nsportation, including
power, fu _:,1 and water, and performing all work necessary to
construct and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in
strict accord.nce with said detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings .;nd specifications as prepared by said

mentioned an d escri ea, and fixing the 16th day of
19 65 a at the hour of 2g00 o'clock P.M. as
the d,: to an hoer for the opening of said bids -t the City
Council Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and
that said notice shall be published twice, the first of which
publications shall be at least ten (10) days prior to the date
fixed for the opening of bids, and that said public tions
shall be t least five (5) days apart
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful
bidder or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract
with the City of Anaheim in the manner and form approved by
the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the construction,
installation and completion: of said public improvement herein
above tentioned and described, in accordance with the plans
and specifications prep red by said
the notice inviting sealed proposals, this reso _ution an al
applicable City Ordinances or Cede Sections and the 1 w of the
State of California, and shall be required to post bonds and
insurance in the amounts and within the time required by law,
as specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals, and in
a form approved by the City Attorney.
THE FOREGOINC RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
