A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC CON-
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO WIT:

APPROVING THE DESIGNS, PLANS, PROFILES, DRAWINGS
AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC IM-
PROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATIONS, ETC,; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
construction and completion of a public improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
The Improvement of Orangewood Avenue, from State College Boule-
vard to approximately 2862 feet east of State College Boulevard,
in the City of Anaheim, consisting of excavation including hauls-
way, disposal and compacted embankment; construction of asphalt
concrete pavement, aggregate base, P.C.C. cross gutter and
spandrel, P.C.C. standpipe, asphalt concrete berm, standard barri-
cade, standard survey monuments, standard catch basin No. 1,
modified catch basin No. 1, standard manhole No. 2; remodeling
of existing pump house and connector pipes; application of prime
coat; clearing and grubbing; adjustment of manholes to grade;
installation of paddleboards; removal of miscellaneous highway
facilities, and appurtenant work as more particularly set forth
in the plans and specifications on file in the Office of the
City Clerk or City Engineer, Project SS No. 303 -A.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed the Public
Works Department to prepare detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifications, and estimates of
quantities and costs and make necessary surveys for the con-
struction of said public improvement; and
WHEREAS, said Public Works Department has
prepared said detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and
specifications for the construction of said public improvement
and has submitted the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement above mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practice and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans,
profiles, dr wings and specifications fpr said public improve-
ment hereinabove mentioned and described, be, and the same
are hereby, approved and adopted as prepared by said pl,hl;r

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED tht said public improve-
ment shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed
designs, pl.:ns, profiles, drawings :and specifications as
prepared by s id public Works D artmp r and hereby
approved, and such addenda or modifications thereto as may be
approved prior to the awarding of bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, ,.and she is hereby, authorized nd directed
to publish a notice according to lw, inviting sealed proposals
for the furnishing of =11 plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and .11 utilities and transportation, including
power, fuel nd water, and performing all work necessary to
construct and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in
strict accord_nce with said detailed designs, plans, profiles,

mentioned and described, and fixing the 20th day of

Council Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and
that said notice shall be published twice, the first of which
publications shall be :-t least ten (10) days prior to the date
fixed for the opening of bids, and that said publications
shall be at le; st five (5) days part.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful
bidder or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract
with the City of Anaheim in the manner :and form approved by
the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the construction,
installation and completion of said public improvement herein
above mentioned .nd described, in accordance with the plans
and specifications prepared by said rublic W rk,g nepar m *jt
the notice inviting sealed proposals, this resolution and all
applicable City Ordinances or Code Sections and the 1 w of the
State of California, and shall be required to post bonds and
insurance in the amounts and within the time required by law,
as specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals, and in
a form approved by the City Attorney.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
